When the President of Bolivia, Evo Morales, has nationalized some of the largest mines in the country, threw out foreign operators had put in all infrastructure, and invested all the money to dig up these resources. These foreign investment companies, as well as companies that were running the operations lost everything, and have been paying royalties and taxes to the Bolivian government under contract. Evo Morales said in a speech that the resources belonged to the Bolivian people, in particular indigenous Bolivians, and the native Indians of that land. Similarly, said the money was generated from minerals that have been taken from these mines belong to the Bolivian people, and money should be used to help them live a better life, not for profits of foreign companies. This has sent shockwaves throughout the communities of foreign investors, and Bolivia was immediately taken off the short list of foreign countries to invest in it turns out, when Bolivia has taken of these mines and expelled the foreigners, they did not know enough about the mining industry to make the Mines efficient enough to turn a profit. Meanwhile, Evo Morales had promised to the Bolivian people noting that the mines could afford to pay for personal services by the government. Now, the president of Bolivia is running for re-election and many farmers have taken over other small mines, claiming that own them. This is causing a new set of shock waves, and again, nothing is done. It seems that the president of Bolivia has started something that can not end now, and so close to elections does not say a word. According to Reuters Newswire, "ANALYSIS-Bolivia's Morales turns a blind eye to my seizures," Thu 15 October 2009, by Diego Ore: "Tens of seizures of mines by farmers are adding to the evils of Bolivia's mining sector in ruins, but the left-wing government is unlikely to quell abuses in the presidential elections. " It seems that the tactics have created the crazy socialist Bolivia, and this seems to be an omen of things to come. Bolivia is certainly at a crossroads, and even though the country was once a rising star of South America, things are not going too well, in these trying days. Even if the rogue communist and socialist nations are moving in to do business with the current government. Please consider this.
