"How does this work/rules?"

The whole idea behind the button is that it has an upside and a downside. Example: you press it and it gives you flight, but only when you're totally naked. Stuff like that. The drawbacks can be tied directly to the benefit or just be an unrelated caveat.

If you only have an idea for an upside or a downside for a button, feel free to send that as an ask and I will create the other half as I see fit.

Trying to keep the benefit and consequence equivalent is the aim! You want people to really think about whether or not it's worth it. If there's a very clear correct choice, that's just no fun.

Basically, rules are: if I think it's actually an interesting hypothetical with real divisive potential, I'll post it :] sometimes I will tweak submissions to make things more equivalent or up the stakes.

You must fight evil at least once a week with powers that are a match for yours

You can create any mod you wish for any video game you'd like, with no time or effort. It simply materializes into being, assets and coding and all. They're compatible with whatever other mods you wish, and never contain bugs.

BUT

Every mod you make is published publicly, and an annoying asshole (according to your tastes) gets all the credit for them, using this success to platform a career. They don't hurt anybody with this power or fame, but they're incredibly annoying about it and very prolific in the community of every affected game. You never stop hearing about them.

But

There is a one extra topping and it’s something you really don’t like and you’d have to pick them off to enjoy the pizza

You can create songs/song mashups/etc directly from your brain to a high fidelity audio track.

Downside:

You can no longer shuffle your music. Even for tumblr games and stuff. It’s playlist order, album order, or bust.

but

You have the most horribe things happen to you and you hate all the characters you get shipped with.

You are forced to prevent paradoxes on a regular basis

If one dies, you all die

All animals implicitly like and trust you unless you go out of your way to hurt them. Even mosquitos and wasps will not bite/sting you.

BUT

You have to be vegan, and any non-vegan foods make you throw up. Even just a little splash of milk.

they forget all about you, live somewhere far away, and you have no idea how they're doing
