ON MONDAY, MAY 25TH, GEORGE FLOYD WAS KILLED BY A WHITE MALE POLICE OFFICER. george was unarmed. he was known as a “gentle giant”. he had a family. a store clerk called the police, claiming that he had counterfeit money. george floyd was unaware. a police officer stood on his neck for nine whole fucking minutes and didn’t care that he was slowly killing the man beneath him. he told them he couldn’t breathe.  it’s sickening.  i know this is tumblr and i know this is roleplay, but frankly, i don’t give a damn. everyone should be talking about this, researching, finding out what they can do to help. this man is just one of MANY unarmed black individuals who have met their fate at the hands of a person who is supposed to protect them and uphold the law .... not violently murder those they swore to protect. the sad truth? racism is very much a reality. i can’t even imagine what these people have to tell themselves or how tight they hold their children when they leave the house just because they never know if they’ll come home or not.  george never came home.  please, i urge you to READ THIS ARTICLE. get informed. reblog this. send it to your friends. donate.
