Prompt: Lily finds James standing at the Astronomy Tower alone and ready to jump.

She was sprinting up the stairs, wide-eyed and worried. She knew she shouldn’t worry that much about him, that he knew what he was doing, but for no reason at all, she worried a lot. Whenever he was doing something stupidly dangerous or very brave (like going out every full moon to help Remus), she was there to make sure he was okay. Even if he didn’t know about that.

She wasn’t always like that. She used to ignore him all the time and didn’t care what the bloody hell he was doing, but then things hadstarted to change between them and Lily couldn’t help herself anymore.

When she reached the door, she entered the room without even stopping to think about what on earth he could be. Snogging a girl? Shagging a girl? Dead?

Lily almost had a heart attack when she saw where he was.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” she asked, looking at him.
