We all have those moments. Where life pulls at you, and it’s easier to go with it than fight against it. I’m still struggling with the balance. The juggling of being a first time mom, a writer, a girlfriend, a homemaker, etc. not being as easy as I thought it would be. Things no longer fit in their respective boxes, and that’s ok. It’s just learning to flex when needed that I’m getting used to. #breathe

When I was younger words were an escape. They came easy and without judgement. I wrote for myself, dreaming up worlds and characters that brought me to places I couldn’t go. As I got older, curiosity of outside eyes about what lay within my notebooks led to judgment about content and likeliness of being a writer as a career. My words began to falter under the weight of their doubts. But surely the words came back, like a flutter of inspiration that would not leave my ear. Ideas coming and going, unfulfilled because of fear. It took years to find the courage to use my voice again.
