You looked around the living room trying to see where Wonwoo could have been. The boys were at your house to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Not seeing him around, you decided to go to your shared bedroom.
“Chan, I’ll check on Wonwoo. Go get some more food in the kitchen, ‘kay? Your brothers might be hungry after all these video games.” You both looked at the older members who are currently playing.
After getting a nod from Chan, you climbed up to the second floor to look for Wonwoo. You were right with your thought of him spending some alone time.
“Hey, you okay?” You didn’t go in immediately and waited for his response first.
“I am baby. Come on in.” He smiled a little and tapped the bed.
“I was looking for you downstairs. Do you want to eat or stay here for a bit?” You carefully asked. Trying to weigh when you can come in and ask if there’s something bothering him.
“Yah, I’d like to be here for a little bit more.” He gave you a little smile.
You knew what he meant. You leaned to his shoulder and cupped his cheek.
“I understand. I am here for you, love. All of us.” You whispered.
“I know baby. And I couldn’t be more thankful.”
You stayed with him, in comfortable silence. He didn’t have to say anything more. You also didn’t have to do something else. He’s content with having you by his side.
“I am excited for what this new year will bring to us. Just because I have you. And I hope you know that you can always count on me, too. I know you like to be independent also. And you totally are, you are strong, kind and you are a good son, a reliable brother and a loving partner. I am here for you, we all are.”
Wonwoo was stunned for a moment, he didn’t know what to say first. So he chose to hug you and bury his face on your neck.
“Baby… thank you. Even if I don’t speak much, you’d know exactly what I need.”
“We all love you, Woo. I love you.”
“I love you, baby. I am happy to have you, and I get comfort in knowing that I’d still have you tomorrow, for the rest of the year and for a very long time.” He now looked directly into your eyes, seeing how sincere he is.
“Would you like to come down now? We can’t let Chan and Seungkwan miss our midnight kiss?” You teased him and earned back a laughter from your boyfriend.
“Right! We can’t let that happen. Let’s go join them. They might have broke our living room already.” He intertwined his fingers with yours and led the way downstairs. Before fully exiting your room, he gave you a quick kiss whispering i love you again.
