Is it true that gold is magnetic?
Sponsored post  Nowadays, gold is in our adornments as well as in our gadgets. And gold seems to find its way back into medical practice as nanoparticles used in tissue building. But could these gold nanoparticles save lives?  Do you think gold is full of surprises? Come, letâs dig some pieces of information in this article!
According to research, gold (Au) in its bulk form, like the metal in a wedding ring, is potentially not considered a magnetic material. Technically, it is classified as âdiamagneticâ meaning that it could be repelled by a magnetic field but couldnât form a permanent magnet.
Furthermore, in recent years, gold nanoparticles, tiny clusters of gold atoms a few nanometres in size, were shown to potentially have paramagnetic properties, meaning they could attract other magnetic materials, just like miniature bar magnets.
