In 2020, we no longer prioritize our convenience over our girls. We do not sit around in silence any longer while watching our daughters struggle to find help. Help will become available in the form of empathetic fathers sitting on the foot of their daughter’s beds late at night and mothers who have been there asking past “how are you?” on the ride back home from school. Next generation, we listen to and respect those girls from birth. No. More. Mistreatment. No. More. “We don’t talk about that stuff at my house”. Rethink how she’s made to deal with extremely negative emotions or else that same internal rage will consume her the same way it consumed me at one point and come with a vengeance for those who silenced her suffering.
