uhhh lots of the usual stuff, ears, tails, even quads can help— course that stuff isn’t for everyone.
It sorta depends, like you can try to do actives based on your species (like herding for herding dogs, running, tricks, etc etc)
Even stuff like eating dog-food like food (Scooby snacks) or hell just eating dog food if u wanna. Idk I don’t judge. Jsut make sure it’s healthy for a human’s digestion.
Certain clothing, like collars, or even colors that correlate to your species, as well as fabrics, clothing types, etc.
most importantly u should have time to be Puppy, give yourself time to completely puppy-out and act like one!!
Uhhh of course not all of this will work for everyone, it’s really a trail and error to find out what works for u! :3

Being physically a human:
Pros:
I can eat chocolate, avocados, ect.
I can enjoy music (most animals just sense the human music as regular noise)
I can draw
I have opposable thumbs, very useful
I can read
Cons:
I have to live in human society, which is the opposite of nice
Sometimes I feel stuck in this body
Always feeling like I don't fit with the others / that they hate me
Back pain (and I'm a literal kid still)

I always hear other wolf alterhumans staying how they'd love to run free in the forest, hunting and playing with their pack, ect, ect. All the cool and peaceful stuff
Which I'd love too
But, I think I have never heard another alterhuman yearn for the bad side of it. Like, staying hungry for large periods of time, deep injuries and almost fatal infections, barely making it out alive of a hunting that went wrong, the feeling of your bones breaking, your insides reorganizing and remaking themselves to take the form of another, stronger, wilder being (the last one was more for werewolves but still)
Am I the only one that yearns for the downsides too?-
i want to feel my prey slip through my teeth while my sides heave with exhaustion. i want to take a kick to the chest and wonder if i'll wake up tomorrow. i want to get dirt in my eye and keep running because i dont have a choice. i want to go out with a sharp hoof to my skull from a young buck that we realized too late was stronger than anticipated.
i want to live happy in the forest and i want to die the way the forest intends.
