So just because I've been seeing a LOT of "June is now Military/Veteran Month declared by We the People" posts lately (which somehow always seem to pop up as a way to dismiss Pride Month)...
Yeah. No. π
If you actually cared about the military, you'd already know they have multiple months and observances dedicated to them:
β’ April β Month of the Military Child
β’ May β National Military Appreciation Month (which includes Loyalty Day, Armed Forces Day, and Memorial Day)
β’ November β National Veterans and Military Family Month
And that's not even counting the numerous military appreciation days and branch-specific observances scattered throughout the year.
So let's be honest: most of these posts aren't about supporting service members, veterans, or military families. If they were, people would have been talking about these observances long before June rolled around.
Funny how so many self-proclaimed "patriots" suddenly become military advocates only when they need a reason to complain about Pride Month.
Support the military all year. Support veterans all year. Support military families all year. Don't use them as a prop in a culture war and then forget they exist the other eleven months. π

Stiles thought he knew everything there was to know about Derek Hale, until he watches Derek effortlessly dominate a charity dance floor. Stunned by Derek's hidden talent, Stiles learns that years ago Peter Hale insisted every Hale learn ballroom dancing. What starts as teasing quickly turns into something far more dangerous when Derek offers Stiles a dance of his own, and one song is all it takes to leave Stiles completely off balance.
Went to Habit Burger again today (second visit), and yep... it officially has my vote as my favorite fast-food place in Florida.
This time, I grabbed the $10 Gotta Habit Meal Deal:
π₯€ Dragonfruit Limeade
π Half of a Santa Barbara Char
π 5-piece Crispy Chicken Bites (though they gave me 7, so no complaints there!)
π― Teriyaki sauce for the chicken (they were out of the garlic parmesan ranch and the avocado ranch)
π₯ Side Garden Salad with Ranch (no onions)
πAnd because I have no self-control when it comes to good food, I also got the Blue Wave Shake again.
Everything, like last time, was absolutely delicious. The burger was fantastic, the chicken bites were crispy and flavorful (and so damn tender!), the Dragonfruit Limeade was refreshing as before, and that Blue Wave Shake was the perfect sweet finish.
Will I happily drive an hour just to eat here again? Without hesitation.
(6/5/2026) I got the chance to attend the Hank Williams Jr., Joe Nichols, and Spencer Hatcher concert at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa. The tickets were given to me at the last minute. My friend Dusty came along because most people I know either don't like country music or don't live anywhere near Florida.
Going in, I wasn't familiar with Spencer Hatcher, but that changed pretty quickly. The man has an incredible voice, great stage presence, and several songs that immediately caught my attention. I left as a new fan and will definitely be adding some of his music to my playlists.
Joe Nichols was fantastic. I've always enjoyed his music, and he sounded just as good live as he does on his records. He did a great job interacting with the crowd and making the audience feel involved in the show. I was a little disappointed he didn't play "Gimme That Girl", I've always liked that one but honestly, that's a minor complaint when the rest of the set was so enjoyable.
One of the highlights of the night happened after the show when I got the chance to actually meet Joe Nichols and take a photo with him. He was incredibly kind, and it was a really cool experience getting to meet an artist whose music I've enjoyed for years.
Of course, I also couldn't resist the merchandise booth. Before the concert even started, I picked up three shirts: a Hank Williams Jr. tour shirt, a "Country State of Mind" shirt, and a Joe Nichols tequila tank top. My wallet may have suffered a little, but I regret absolutely nothing.
Then came the main event: Hank Williams Jr.
I've been listening to Hank's music since I was a little girl. His songs have been part of the soundtrack of my life for as long as I can remember, but I never thought I'd actually get the opportunity to see him perform live. So when the chance came along, especially for free, there was absolutely no way I was going to pass it up.
I've already caught some flak for attending because of Hank's political views and some of the things he's said over the years. But look, I don't agree with a lot of what Hank Williams Jr. believes these days. Not even close on some topics. But I also believe it's possible to appreciate an artist's talent without agreeing with every opinion they hold.
At the end of the day, Hank Williams Jr. is a legendary musician, songwriter, and performer. His influence on country music is undeniable, and seeing him live was an experience I never expected to have. He put on a great show, sounded fantastic, and reminded me why his music has endured for decades.
No regrets. Free tickets, good company, great music, a few new shirts, the chance to meet Joe Nichols, and finally getting to see Hank Williams Jr. perform live after being a fan for so many years. That's a pretty damn good night in my book.
After years of knowing each other and over a year as a throuple, Peter Hale's favorite pastime is still driving Chris Argent absolutely insane. What starts as harmless teasing and endless innuendos slowly wears on Chris's patience, despite Noah Stilinski's repeated warnings for Peter to back off.
When Peter finally pushes one step too far, Chris explodes.
The argument leaves Peter shaken in a way neither Noah nor Chris expected. Behind the sarcasm, confidence, and constant jokes lies a lifetime of abandonment and self-doubt, and Chris's angry words strike directly at wounds Peter has spent decades hiding.
As Peter retreats to the ruins of the Hale house, convinced the two men he loves have finally realized he's too much to handle, Noah and Chris must find him before those fears consume him completely.
A story about love, insecurity, found family, and three men learning that even when things fall apart, they still belong to each other.
"You're a pain in the ass, Peter Hale. But you're our pain in the ass." β€οΈβοΈπΉπΊ

A sudden rainstorm crashes into Beacon Hills' Pride Art Festival, creating three very different love stories beneath the same storm.
Isaac & River: As a half-selkie, River thrives in the rain, feeling more alive than ever. While everyone else runs for cover, River embraces the downpour, and Isaac can't help but admire them. The rain leads to a passionate kiss and a reminder that Isaac loves every wild, beautiful part of who River is.
Derek & Stiles: Stiles spends the entire storm complaining about being soaked while Derek patiently deals with him in classic Hale fashion. Taking shelter beneath a tent, Derek reassures him with quiet affection, teasing, and subtle compliments until Stiles finally admits the rain isn't so bad, as long as Derek is beside him.
Peter, Chris & Noah: Peter strips off his shirt and treats the rainstorm like he's a dramatic weather god sent to bless Pride personally. While Chris is thoroughly exasperated and Noah endlessly amused, Peter flirts with strangers, makes shameless innuendos, and generally causes chaos. Beneath the teasing, however, is a genuine reminder of how much the three men love one another.
When the storm finally passes, a brilliant rainbow appears over the festival. The couples reunite with kisses, laughter, and affection. River and Isaac sharing a quiet moment, Derek and Stiles finding comfort in each other, and Peter, Chris, and Noah proving once again that their love is equal parts devotion, humor, and absolute chaos. Together they celebrate Pride beneath the rainbow, surrounded by friends, family, and the people they love most. πβ€οΈ
So I definitely still have a ways to go, but today felt like a huge win.
Torrid is pretty much the only place I've found jeans that actually fit my body correctly. For the longest time, the only jeans that worked for me were the "Perfect Wide Leg Vintage Stretch" (12R) jeans. Then they discontinued them, and I went online and bought seven pair while they were on sale because I refused to lose the only jeans that fit. π
Well, today I decided to try on a pair of 12R Bombshell Wide Leg jeans, kinda expecting disappointment because of the lack of stretch, but they freaking fit!
I didn't need the extra stretch to get into them comfortably. They actually fit properly without relying on the stretch factor. I still have my thick thighs and upper legs, but that's okay. Progress is progress, and seeing that difference made me ridiculously happy.
Sometimes the scale isn't the only way to measure success. Today, it was a pair of jeans.
Noah Stilinski has spent his entire life believing he was straight. He loved his wife, Claudia, raised a son, and dated women after her death. End of story... or so he thought.
When a casual conversation makes him realize that not everyone notices and appreciates attractive people regardless of gender the way he does, Noah finds himself questioning assumptions he's never bothered to examine. As he looks back on decades of quietly admiring both men and women, he begins to wonder if he isn't quite as straight as he always believed.
Part self-discovery, part midlife identity crisis, and part reluctant internet research rabbit hole, Noah navigates labels, attraction, and the realization that understanding yourself isn't always a one-time event. Sometimes, even after fifty years, there's still something new to learn.

At a crowded dance bar, Malia and Kira move together like they were made for the same rhythm: dancing, kissing, and holding each other as the rest of the world blurs into sound and light. Their night is theirs alone, until an unwanted interruption pushes its way into their space, testing boundaries they refuse to let be crossed.
