The Wolf Bride

Yes, there are! I have actually drawn a map for the whole land, and am looking forward to sharing it as extra content once I manage to make it pretty enough.

There are three cultures which do show up in the story:

Humans - Live within the constraints and safety of Round River, a circular river which provides protection against all creatures of forest and night.

Werewolves - Live east from Round River in the Forest Kingdom. Divided to packs of mountains, forests and plains, the story of Wolf Bride follows the forest pack.

Vampires - Live north in the mountains and past it in the Land of Night. Brittle, crystal-boned and beautiful, they hunt in south and west for life their land cannot sustain.

Then there are other cultures which do not show up in this story, but have been written in for future stories:

The Fae - The capricious, magical creatures that live far in the west. They trick humans and vampires alike, and the lush arcadia of their home stands for everything missing from Land of Night.

The Seapeople - Sirens and selkies that live far east in the sea. Only written of in the tomes of packs of plains, they dominate the waters and have been the doom of many seafarers.

The Vaengalvar - Winged people who worship the sun. They live far in the south, and are the origins of many religious stories human fanatics believe in. It is said their blood runs golden, not red.

Yes, there are! Each route has a certain trope it is built around, even when I do try to write in unique aspects for each.

Azar - You guessed it, enemies to lovers! He is hard to impress and certainly does not seek to impress you, but once you impress him and impresses you, it's over for everyone else.

Shai - Shai is an attentive gentleman. He may not be very warlike, but he will address you with respect, will bring you roses, and will make sure everyone treats you with appropriate respect.

Ze'ev - Morally grey monster. Do you like your men only slightly attached to the doorframe? Then Ze'ev is your choice. He will watch the world burn for you and smile. His darkness does not harm you.

If I understood your question right: regarding romantic routes, all the characters support poly options, and all have differing reactions to being committed and monogamous.

Fair warning - there are spoilers to the character relationships here!

Calev thinks you are his special princess, and while he is more than a bit of the manslut variety, would not mind giving that up for you. For him, you simply are fascinating enough that he would not feel it was much of a loss.

Ze'ev is probably the most monogamous of the bunch in the regard of... he's not interested in others, only you. But his monogamy comes with the understanding that if it makes you happy to have other lovers, you are more than welcome to do so! He will support it, just does not want it for himself!

Shai, as it comes up, is currently in an open relationship with Azar. They go way back, and Shai will break things off if you really want him to - but he will be sad about it. Love sometimes works like that, but ultimately he is the type to please and follow.

The only strictly mono-opposed character in the story is Azar. He considers monogamy to be a human trait, and as we know, he looks down on those. Is it nice? No. But for him, asking to break things off with Shai will result in losing all favor with him.

I wanted to write different characters with different reasons for their personal approaches, to explore how varied polyamory is in practice.

Another thing I wanted to write (and which will start to be more and more pronounced in the story regardless of whose route you are on) was having close relationships even with the characters you are not romantically involved with! It can be a harem, it can be a family, it can be your boyfriend and his emotional support gang of feral beasts.

But you are a pack. There is bickering, there can be heartbreak, but at the end of the day, you stand together as one, no matter what form the love ends up taking.

idk if it's just me though, i didn't start over like i normally do cause i was too eager about what was next, so if it's a save related issue, nevermind!

dunno your process, but i know a lot of IFs have the "old" saves can bork new stuff but i wanted to send this in just in case

It is done! Wolf Bride is officially nearly 120 000 words total, and over 1100 passages in Twine!

What to expect? Without any spoilers, things related to that very last major event of Wolf Bride; Azar being stubborn; trauma; and perhaps the greatest of all - worldbuilding!

In my previous project there was no great exploration of the world around the characters, only their immediate surroundings. This time I am going far more out there - and so are you!

I only have 55 passages left to write for Wolf Bride - Summer (and will put it to my Ko-Fi as soon as it is done, exciting!) and to observe that, I want to hear whose route sounds the most exciting at the moment!
