honestly i would like to apologize for the comments i've made about gerard's gender identity though, i understand now that they can be seen as transmisogynistic and while that's never been my intention, ignorance isn't an excuse for my behavior. i feel that under the circumstances, in defense i tried to brush off the valid points that were being made, and it was wrong of me to be so dismissive about this; after a lot of careful thought and consideration, i was absolutely in the wrong for what i said. thank you to the people that did bring to my attention that what i'd been saying so flippantly had transphobic connotations, i now see that it is something that should be taken seriously rather than so often joked about. i'm sincerely sorry and with this criticism in mind, i'd like to use this to improve myself and be more aware of my thoughts and actions.
