    One  day  he  was  going  to  snap  the  pups  neck.  Niklaus  knew  it  as  if  the  power  of  premonition  had  been  briefly  graced  to  him  through  his  mother’s  love.  Fickle  though  it  may  be.  Gaze  flicking  towards  him,  Klaus  managed  to  keep  himself  from  making  the  future  the  present  because  at  the  end  of  the  day  Derek  was  useful. 

     And  he  wasn’t  entirely  sure  how  to  simply  lay  him  to  the  side  for  a  couple  decades  until  his  anger  cooled  without  it  being  truly  detrimental.  So  he  was  stuck  with  this  sass  on  top  of  this  irritating  set  back,  staring  down  into  the  empty  grave  that  had  meant  to  hold  a  talisman.  His  talisman,  actually,  he’d  put  in  the  work  and  murdered  half  a  coven  for  the  rights  of  it. 

     It  looked  like  he  was  going  to  have  to  do  it  again.  Gods  but  he  hated  a  repeat  performance,  it  was  boring. 

“If  you’ve  nothing  constructive  to  add,  Derek,  do  keep  your  mouth  shut  and  stand  there  looking  pretty.’  Bending  slightly  he  inhaled  hoping  to  catch  a  familiar  perfume  or  cologne.  “That  should  be  sufficiently  difficult  considering  your  proportions.’

     Nothing  he  recognized,  rocking  back  on  his  heels  as  he  tucked  his  hands  into  his  pocket  staring  at  the  younger  man  across  the  grave  from  him.  Marcel  hadn’t  known  about  this,  too  far  back,  and  his  siblings  had  little  to  no  interest  in  his  tawdry  tantrums  when  they  didn’t  directly  affect  them.  Maybe  Katherine,  the  little  she-devil.  If  it  wasn’t  for  the  fact  that  Derek  hadn’t  known  where  they  were  going  until  they  arrived  he  would  have  started  breaking  bones  until  confession. 

“Young  ones  like  you  are  always  hungry,  aren’t  they?  Let’s  go  to  the  Quarter.’

The bark of the tree scraping the back of his jacket, Derek watched on with an amused disinterest as KLAUS prowled around the grave like a honey badger with a headache. The others mouth turned down and eyes frustrated and confused no matter how he tried to hide it away. Good. The was nothing more entertaining than a vampire that couldn't get it's own way. Especially one used to throwing TANTRUMS to solve a problem.

Puffing out his cheeks, the WEREWOLF huffed a gruff bored breath. Hands tucked into his pockets. He had no idea why he was even here....unless Klaus intended to wipe the dead witches clothes against his nose like a hunting dog. In which case Derek was going to bite him so hard it would be worth the immediate backhand he'd undoubtedly get for his troubles.

No. He figured his presence here was just to prove Klaus held the other hand of his leash and could take him wherever he pleased just BECAUSE.

Either that or the volatile Original was getting LONELY in his old age.

ㅤ             a  brow  comes  to  raise  at  the  tone  that  used  to  greet  him  ,  amusement  flashing  across  the  count’s  dark  eyes        —         oh  how  he  loves  the  fire  that  still  lingered  in  his  bride.  that  ever  persistent  wrath  that  stirs  to  life  over  the  simplest  things  ,  it  keeps  him  young.  lips  twitch  as  they  slowly  spread  into  a  reassuring  smile  ,  he  knows  it  to  be  a  struggle  for  his  bride        —         a  battle  to  maintain  any  sense  of  decorum.

ㅤ             those  cold  eyes  watch  as  his  bride  moves  ,  tracking  the  former  solicitor  like  a  beast  with  its  prey.  the  further  the  distance  placed  between  the  two  men  ,  the  counts  own  wrath  seems  to  rise.  a  low  rumble  echoes  in  the  male’s  chest  ,  a  warming  that  seems  to  simmer  down  when  the  white-haired  male  turns  upon  his  heel.  attention  focused  back  upon  vlad  ,  where  he  should  have  remained  all  along.

ㅤ                    ❛  beloved. ❜       the  words  fall  in  that  familiar  huff  of  laughter  ,  temper  barley  restrained  behind  silky  tones        —         with  the  beat  of  a  heart  vlad  moves.  fingers  curling  around  the  slender  collum  of  his  bride’s  neck  ,  forcing  jonathan’s  head  back  ever  so  slightly.  fingertips  press  against  the  soft  skin  ,  reminding  the  young  one  just  how  precarious  the  situation  he  was  in  could  be.

ㅤ             the  tip  of  his  nose  brushes  along  the  younger  male’s  jaw  ,  breathing  in  the  life  that  seems  to  spark  throughout  his  bride.       ❛  you  of  all  people  should  know  your  manners. ❜       his  tone  shifts  ,  still  soft        &&         breathed  out  against  his  lover’s  skin  ,  yet  there  is  a  sharpness  lingering  there.  a  verbal  bite.         ❛  perhaps  you  need  a  reminder  of  what  happens  when  my  patience  is  tested  by  an  ungrateful  wife. ❜
