That empty feeling you have now and then, like something is missing, that’s your soul telling you it’s starving. You ignore it again and again, yet it always comes back. I mean, how else is your soul going to tell you to do something about it? We need to learn to understand how to communicate with our souls. We don’t even understand our souls enough to know when it’s hungry. What would happen if you treated your body in the same way? When you got hungry, you wouldn’t ignore it and let yourself starve right? If you did you would kill yourself eventually. If you keep neglecting your soul, you’ll eventually kill it too. The ‘physical you’, your body - it is made from this earth. When it gets hungry, it needs to be given something from the same earth it came from. The ‘spiritual you’, your soul - it is made from above, directly from Allah. When it gets hungry, it needs to be given something directly from Allah.
