If it hasn’t become obvious, the Wither!Jesse blog is officially closed. Meaning no more updates, asks or anything.

I know my last post, months ago, I said that I was going to try to bring this blog back to life through a comic of sorts but that quickly backfired due to multiple reasons.

1. Season 2 messed up the story and plan

I wanted to keep close to canon lore as possible, but that was later proved fatal with Season 2 with a huge number of characters only being shown  to show what happened to them or suddenly disappeared from the story all together. Most of Season 1′s character were an important part of Wither’s final story since the story was basically Canon Jesse finding his way to Wither’s world with the crew. The end, depending on the choices of the fans depended how Wither died. Though falling to death, killed by Jesse or suicide.

2. I have lost interest and don’t have time.

I’m studying animation for those who don’t know and that requires a lot of time to work on and right now I have a huge project/assignment to work on, so I don’t have time to spare for the Wither!Jesse blog.

3. Running the Wither!Jesse blog doesn’t make me happy.

A long time ago, this blog was my source of stress-relief, but now it’s not and being forced and pressured to work on it doesn’t make me happy, in fact it just makes me want to go buy a drink and play league. I don’t enjoy Wither!Jesse anymore and never will enjoy it again.

I hope most of you, if not all of you understand. I am happy that I did make this blog and brought a little colour and light to your lives, but it no longer does for me.

On the off note, @williampratt Here is my post, it is done and I will be brutally honest. Anymore attempts to contact me and try to pressure or convince me to go back to this blog will result in a immediate block.

Yo hey, yeah university caught up with me as well as feelings that I honestly want to throw off a bridge. But onto more important matters.

Now, Season 2 of MCSM has been announced with images of different areas and possibly worlds. Of course the question is how does this affect the comic’s story. I was actually worried that I would have to change the beginning to fit the game once it comes out, because one of the main pieces of the story was around the Portal Hall. 

Do not fear though, cause it seems I won’t have to change too much, maybe my reasoning of why Hero Jesse appears in Wither’s world, yeah that was plan. I did say this was going to follow Telltale routes. I say I don’t need to worry because one of the images shows female Jesse hanging out with two of the MC youtubers that appeared in episode....5 I think. This indicates that the portal world is still accessible and in use, so the plot idea of using the portal hall is still up.

Right, so what so expect. I’m going into pre-production mode for this, meaning the first thing to expect is concept art of the characters and of existing characters. So yeah, look forward to that. Second would be sketched up panels of the comic, which will take some time, but I’ll fit it somewhere in my timetable of class work.

So, while being “back” is a weird feeling, there’s a couple of steps I need to take if I’m going to do this.

1. Replay MCSM 

Since my lost of interest I may as well play it again to regain my feel for the game and characters. Heck I might notice something I didn’t before and add something to the story.

2. Continue writing the key action list

I’ve already been doing this, where I write a simple version of what exactly happens in each chapter. So far I’ve done up to Chapter 2, but I still have a little ways off

3. Character designs

Due to the nature that this comic will be standing on, I need to do some designing in terms of three characters, two of them canon the other an OC. I’m going to struggle with one of them, but I need to get it done.

4. Look for trustworthy help

You can’t write a story without someone to critique it, there are certain elements of the story I’m not too sure if they would work or people would enjoy so I need someone who can help point out the flaws with it and won’t leak it.

It seems like a lot of work, but honestly most of these are pretty easy and will be compared to making the comic itself. For now, I’ll place the blog on some type of “WIP” while I get back on my feet. I can’t instantly jump back to drawing something and posting on the blog every day, I need to build that up slowly if I don’t want to over work myself.

....Yes, I did abandoned the blog. I know all of you know that, but I couldn’t help but come back after a long decision.

You see, some of you know this, but I had been activity trying to separate Wither from this blog and MCSM as a whole. I wanted to make him as my own, a character that I can use in a story to animate, but he’s too heavily linked to this place so I couldn’t do it comfortably. Still I refused to abandon the character as he became too close to my heart to leave. 

So, at some point I asked the opinion of someone who actually went though this once with their own Minecraft character, known as Brineary and some of you might know of the character as well as their creator. They actually gave me some good advice that helped me make this decision. 

They told me to do it slowly, enough to still have some of my fanbase to follow me when I do recreate him, but still have enough of Wither to appeal to them as well. Thing is, I’ve already done it too fast and I’ve already lost a number of you guys. 

So, what does that mean for the WitherJesse Blog?

Honestly? I’m not even too sure if this decision of mine is wise in terms of my current situation, but after a stressful experience I kind realised, I actually really need this blog. Plus if I really want to separate Wither from WitherJesse then I’m going to have to do the one thing I should have done at the beginning.

I’m going to finish the story.

It may take months, maybe even a few years, heck the rumored MCSM season 2 might be out before I even finish. But I already have the plans done from months ago, all I need to do is put them on paper then in picture. I’m going to do my original plan of making an interactive comic of the final story of WitherJesse, with the story formatting like that in the games, like an episode.

I will ask for background characters, I will ask for opinions on the story at current points, and most of all; I will ask you all what major decision Jesse will make in the comics. 

Its a big project, and it will take up a lot of my time. But I feel that I owe all of you for leaving you in such a way. I’m sure most of will doubt that I can do a full comic like this, but I’m going to try. 

The said event will take longer then expected to put up, but it will be worth the wait. For now, I ask that you avoid sending in asks since they will be void when the event happens. But I won’t close the ask box since I trust you guys not to and also I know some of you prefer to talk to me though them, so they’ll stay open.

Now that the question of “Where is Chesh and WitherJesse?” Here’s my question.

Okay, so besides missing a number of things like @pastelpaddies birthday (I will draw you something, friend owo) due to me having to deal with assignments, commissions and weeks of planing, concept arting and story writing for an event for next month. 

I come back to learn someone has made a second WitherJesse account, which honestly I don’t know whether to feel flattered or annoyed/frustrated. 

But I will say that the WitherJesse Blog is not down, I am still here. I’m just busy, I will be active again for next month since that’s when I’ll reveal the event. 

Do what you about the second wither blog, but I don’t really care. They can do what they want. But I will be back on here, but do know there’s a reason why I’m not active and it’s not because I’m done with the blog.

“…Who are you calling hero?”Wither raised an eyebrow before chuckling and shaking his head lightly. “Assuming that swine is still alive, not like I care.” He laughed before looking at what he assumes to be Lukas. “Now this is interesting. Not complaining, but still.”
