We brought our pots and pans to Downing Street for Emergency Action: Stop Starving Gaza.

July has been one of the worst months yet for this escalating man made genocide of the Palestinian people.

1 in 5 children malnourished, the level of famine that leaves epigenetic scarring, massacres of starving people baited to aid stations escalates, doctors and press too weak to maintain their own positions as healers and mouthpieces, innocent civilians with injuries and amputations that have no chance to heal because there is NO FOOD.

No performative aid drops, actions, sanctions, END THE BLOCKADE, end the killing of starving children searching for food for their families or orphaned siblings.

I woke up in slightly navel gazing birthday mode today, the grip of individualism on my spirit. Gathering in resistance brought me back. Back to what really matters and sustains us in this life, staying connected to humanity. The power of collective consciousness and CONSCIENCE. They must never be allowed to numb us or dumbfound us in the face of this genocide. Let’s keep connected to the truth.

Also, love to the Earth angels I saw today, including brother @misanharriman who captured a precious b’day portrait @shazdb @siobhanhewlett @livslittle @elloweezee @stephenisaacwilson caring artists trying to affect change while so many remain bound with intimidation.

savechildrenuk As horrors continue to be livestreamed from Gaza, Save the Children supporter @zawe has penned a beautiful and harrowing poem.

Zawe is an actor, writer, and director who this week announced that she’s expecting her second child. She says: “In the depths of horror, when words fail and despair looms large, I have always found poetry to be a sanctuary where pain can be processed and the unspeakable expressed. It is essential to illuminate the harrowing experiences endured by the children in Gaza. These young souls, whose innocence should be cherished, are instead engulfed by death and despair.

"To share these words with Save The Children is to commit to the collective responsibility we all have to cast a spotlight on their relentless struggles, and to remind humanity that every child is entitled to life. A life filled with hope, peace and freedom to dream. The cries of the innocent have been the underscore to this profound moral failure. This poem also stands as a solemn vow to myself—to advocate for children with unwavering courage.”

Rightfully so, I have gotten messages worrying if everything I post is legit (I try my best to make sure the answer is yes), but here’s a masterlist of ones that one or more people have confirmed are legit Palestinians. Interesting - when I looked at the auction a couple of days ago, I saw the item, but it didn't mention Zawe. I took a screenshot of it anyway.

I know the fandom has dwindled a little but I really wanted to do something to show we care and that we can pull together for a good cause, so I've set up a fundraiser to try and raise some money for those affected by the conflict in Palestine.

Anera is a great charity which has been providing aid to Palestinians displaced by the conflict for over 50 years by distributing food, hygeine kits, medical aid, and more. You can read about all of their ongoing work on their website here.

im thinking of premature palestinian babies. im thinking of palestinian children who don't understand that their parents aren't coming back. im thinking of palestinians sleeping in leaking tents under the rain. im thinking of the palestinians drinking contaminated water and moldy food. im thinking of the palestinians stripped then detained by the IDF.
