A Witchy Owl

Commission #5 from @witchyartowl! I had a sudden burst of inspiration when I saw a free stock image with this pose. It's so X-216: formal and dignified but not TOO dignified. He's still a Rick with all the struggles that go along with it.

Normally, he wears whatever's easiest to throw on in the morning, but he's breaking out his nice coat for a special occasion. I also remembered his gold rings for the first time, lmao. He's not currently married--they're just part of his style.

Anyway, I highly recommend @witchyartowl for commissions. She works quickly and captures X-216's personality so well. The semi-realism style makes him look vibrant. I'm curious about what other Rick OCs would look like in her style 🤔

I wouldn't normally splurge on a $50 commission, but I loved the way that @witchyartowl drew X-216 Rick in the past (and this one in particular), and I just had to see a full-color drawing. I love the sketchy shading and folds and texture on his clothes.

He looks like a character from an indie comic or zine. And that's not too far from what he is--a Rick who avoids the spotlight because mingling with others in the past has only caused him suffering.
