"....So did I for a brief moment. Yet one expects many things, only to be thrown a different outcome at the end of it all. Such as how many thought Great Lady Bernkastel would take out her anger on you and simply throw you back into Oblivion after the shameful loss. Yet here you stand before me, existing."

Sakana tilted his head a little.  He’d said it so matter of factly, it would have thrown anyone who wasn’t a witch off for a moment. “Good and evil are kind of moot here though, don’cha think? Kind of like saying a cat is evil for playing with a mouse before killing and eating it. Or torturing, from the mouse’s perspective. What one perceives to be ‘evil’ may not be to someone else, and in fact may be completely normal and natural to another being.”

"I lack a ‘moral compass’ you could say. I go about doing what I please, and sure I may get mad if someone messes with my friends, and I might even go so far as to take revenge upon someone who’s reeeeeaaaaaaaally ticked me off. But even those who try to take over my realm for their own benefit I wouldn’t really call ‘evil’. I don’t think I’d call anything ‘evil’ or ‘good’, really. But I know others do, and I know the connotation behind it."

"I suppose what I’m asking is, because you said there was something along the lines of ‘evil’ in the Senate, what exactly do you perceive ‘evil’ to be?"

"……Evil? No….the title ‘Evil’ is much too broad. ‘Desperate’ suits the the dangers of the Senate rather well." Suddenly an elegant bouquet of flowers, primary or not, every rose was seemingly perfect and ready to be plucked from the ground. "Before we move to that subject, let’s take a seat." 

Upon reaching the hill’s top, the Witch sat with the hot set of tea on the embroidered plate. Butterfly patterns swirling against that of a King Bass. “Huoshan.” As a great writer one said ‘Light tea, for heavy thoughts’. Virgilia’s own special touch, no doubt! Settling down, she took a breath and took in the sea’s breeze. “For me to make such a distinction? Yes. But I wanted to hear your view on it. I see now that you don’t see Evil and Good as others do, not even I see it in such a way. Not even I.” Showing only a single side of the bouquet, Virgilia’s expression softened.

He sipped his tea.

"Because of course, magic is metaphorical and subject to change. If magic didn’t exist as it does now, it would still exist, but only shift in meaning. What we think of as mundane may be magic to others. But I digress, that isn’t really what you asked me, huh?"

Sakana had to think a while on this one. Asking a witch what magic was to them was like asking what blood was to a human - it wasn’t something very commonly thought of, and sometimes even taken for granted. 

It was important to keep in mind though. Even if a human didn’t think about it, they may have a blood clot at times. Maybe witches could have a boredom clot in a similar manner. Keheh…

"Magic is…a concept to me," Sakana finally replied, "The concept of the unknown, and the concept of infinite possibility throughout everything. Witches use it to perform things that to lesser beings seem logically impossible, but that’s the point of magic, I think. It is the direct opposition to the concept of ‘impossibility’, ‘logic’, ‘reason’, yet it coexists with them like yin and yang. It has to. One cannot be without the other. One cannot play chess without two sets of pieces."

"Ohohoho~!" Returning with her own personal bit of whimsy, Virgilia struck with her signature and certainly not copyrighted laugh. 

The sheer innocence of the Witch's answer made a quick beat skip in Virgilia's heart. Going through so much, hardship, trials, death even--his heart still remained full with the joy that magic could truly bring. "Such is the answer of a True Sorcerer....Fufufufu...." Placing a single hand on her lips to hide the laugh, Virgilia composed herself and continued on. "Yes. That's an excellent way to interpret it. Yet...that's simply the overlaying of it all. Some wish not to know the True Core of Magic. Such is the flaw of the world. 

"As Humans, they cannot unlearn what is already known. Better off they are not knowing, and now...I believe that you might be too. So little have you dived into the depths of Magic. Magic is.....

                                       .....A gentle Lie."

              "Hohoho~ I thought if anyone, you could pacify that child. Simply ignore her for an hour, let her pout and pat her head for a few moments, I promise that it will pass. But do try to stop her if she summons the Twin Towers to shoot that demon full of holes....this is Sabitsuki's fight, not her's."

"We are all divided, organized into ranks by power, conceptual, reality, and so on. At the bottom, there is Apprentice Witches. Youthful and filled with lights. They guide us to the new Era of Witches of both Light and Dark. The title of these witches could range so far from say…..Endless Witch to Witch of Origin. 

Next we have mid-level witches, *Hohoho* One’s such as Territory Lords, unlike you, who hold an entire Universe, these beings hold small, yet large Fragments. And on top of that…..are Voyagers.”

Arguably, Creators, are somewhat comparable to God's and Goddesses. Being able to create Clusters of Fragments upon Clusters of Fragments, they are the most powerful form of Witches. Some stronger than Gods or Goddesses even, but the fine line between Creator and God is so fine, that you couldn't tell the difference quite easily! No, no you couldn't! Mighty as they are, no one would challan--*Giggle*Giggle* Well....there are some brave souls who would tread on that dangerous ground." She teased.

      "Ah! That's right, you asked of your rank? In all honesty, a Goddess as majestic as yourself, exist outside of the Witch Ranks, but if I had to, I would say above Creator Level. 

       But even a mid-level witch can defeat a high ranking voyager....Ohohoho~"
