“It feels like we’re apart of some huge experiment being monitored for observation for a school assignment or something.” PJ said, running her hands through her hair. “I hate it too. This is unbelievable.”

“Thats one way to put it. a very scary freaky way.” Peyton mused. She let out a sigh. “I miss the days when we could just beam to Tokyo or Missouri and just... not be here.”

“Is there anything I can do to help?”

“Could you help me up?”

Nikolas titled his head to the side and shrugged. “I mean, it wasn’t exactly a prison or anything … I was an unborn child.” There was no point in lying really, somehow he was back to life without ever really being born. It was strange but he was glad to be here. “Nice to meet you Peyton.”

“An... unborn child.” She thought of stories her aunts told her, of her brother who hadn’t been born. It made her feel a strange tug of sadness within her heart. “Nice to meet you as well.” She said softly. 

“I never asked if you were fine.”

“Ouch. Well you’re pleasant.” 

“I guess, but still.”

“Get out of my way or be decapitated. Oh would you look at that! I must be in one hell of a mood to be giving you a choice. Trust me, it doesn’t happen everyday.”

“Do you always threaten to decapitate people? Not the best first impression.” 

lina’s head jerked up at the sound of her cousin’s voice. “peyton? d-don’t come closer….it’s not safe,” she said.

“not safe?” peyton frowned. “melinda... whats the matter?” sure they weren’t super close, but still. she was her cousin.
