Would you ever put out a casting call for additional voices?
I don't exactly have plans for it in the immediate future. I would definitely be hesitant to do it for a long-running fic like Digimon Infinity or my own, since if the person ever flakes out then that's gonna really complicate things, but perhaps for some shorter fics I could fit into one or two videos?
I'm not just doing podfics of my own work—with permission, I'm also recording readings of Digimon Infinity, by yukimayari! It's a fun one for sure, and I can't wait to get farther in. Give it a listen, and also go give the author some love!

They're on Youtube! I just recently put up the first here, and I should have some more going up by the end of the week.
After way too long trying to figure out how to make my recordings sound passable (and learning how to turn those into a video—how I miss the simplicity of Windows Movie Maker circa 2010 or so...), the first audio reading is here!
For my first video, I've done the first chapter of my own fic, Sins of a Cyber Empire! I've got more of these coming, and also readings of other fics to look forward to.

Well just letting you know right now there a scam going around in fanfiction websites. Majority of it is on FF Net but some have popped up in AO3. Where bots are spamming reviews/comments & PM asking for commissions mostly of artwork but audiobooks narration of fics have been known to be offered too.
So I suppose if you are doing this careful not to attract that kind of attention/be ready to have some way to verify you are indeed legit. And or don't be surprised if other writers are wary of what you have to offer. Not because your shady but right now is a real poor time thanks to all of this sadly.

And that got me curious will it be just one narrator or will it be full cast?
With music & sfx or just a voice?
I'm interested in doing some audiobook narration as a hobby (and bringing some attention to writers in the Digimon community), so I plan on doing all the narration myself.
I also don't have any money for casting, so that's a factor.
I will be trying to add a bit of ambient music and sfx, but as I'm just starting out as a hobby, it'll be a little spice rather than a major component.
