How Great is His Art! ====================== Sometimes, I wonder How great is my God's plan that is meant to prosper His Kingdom through us. I am delighted to know the fact that I hardly can measure His beautiful plans made through me. "Tears hid behind that shawl" ========================== Compulsion is something that can make a human helpless and do everything behind one's interest, desire, and willingness. The life of women in the Himalayas are just terrible and beyond one's imagination. From enduring abuses, domestic violence, digesting curse to early marriage, women are the most discriminated social being in most of the conservative societies in the Himalayas. Due to many humiliating factors, women become the victim of girls trafficking and are tempted to go after disgusting lures. This is not what they want, this is what they are compelled of. As my heart fills up with a burden for them, I pray for them and their state of mind, their physical stress, anxieties, and their future in Jesus. I have the vision of making them self-independent and brave enough to fight the evil tendencies that draw and hold them back. However, thanks to the Lord for many women have become independent due to sewing training, adult literacy programs, and church service that includes their involvement. They have become capable of running a family, look after the house expenses, and pay their children's school fees. "I Am Only a Human" ====================== I'm only a human. I grieve, feel pain both in and out, get frustrated and relate myself as a trivial creature. I also lack physical strength and become feeble. My leg hurts and my shoulder get pains. But,In the end, as I collect my passion, failures, tears, excitement, and vision and make it a whole - ONE... I see my "JESUS"... He has strengthened my legs and placed them in a steep rocky mountain. He has taken care of me. In the picture, I was so dehydrated that my lips were dried, my legs were shaking, my shoulder was leaning forward....and what more to say? The one who has climbed the Highest Peak will understand me for now. The water bag I pulled out and the first drop I sipped was like meeting my Jesus after years of faithful devotion. I felt like I was in Heaven. "Around the fire" ====================== One of the best parts of our Mission field trip is sitting around a campfire swapping testimonies and stories. This brings us close to each other, makes known to each other's favorites, strengthens the unity, and gives a new angle of accomplishing the mission. In the picture, myself and our RHMI team sat down around the campfire in the most rugged and snowy mountain of East Himalaya. It was so cold that we barely were moving our limbs. A sip of water. After walking miles through the rough terrain roads, steep mountains, dense forests, broken bridges, falling and getting hurt multiple times in spiky rocks, I wouldn't dare to speak a word out of my mouth because I was so exhausted that I was barely standing and collecting motivation to walk further. All I wanted was a sip of water. When one lacks the knowledge and experience of hiking miles in the Himalayas, I must say, you start feeling dizziness, fatigue, and having altitude sickness sometimes. Thanks to the Lord for providing His provision, security, and motivation through our every mission trip. After all, God seeks a heart with Passion, rest- He knows how to take care. "Once more!" ========================== I must say that these wonderful people in the Himalayas are very good at listening. For the hours and hours of sharing His scriptures with some flavor of my own personal testimonies and achievements in Christ, these hungriest people were asking for some more. I was really tired on my own for walking miles to get there to share His sermon, but I was literally unable to stop myself as the Holy Spirit was on the move inside the Church. I personally realized that spiritual hunger is way heavier and more important than physical hunger. Madal ====================== I was speechless to see the wonderful talent of this incredible young man. He is one of the prominent teens from his village who is renowned for playing Madal very beautifully. We came to know that he has been playing Madal since his 6 years old. In every fellowship, he is asked to play the Madal and the most interesting news is… whenever one sings the hymns in the Church, he grabs the Madal and starts playing for the singer. How passionate he is to glorify the Lord with his wonderful talent. "Edifying sisters in the Himalayas" ========================= Many unschooled and underprivileged sisters having their own life stories have encountered the love of Christ through the sewing ministry. They have forgotten their past and learned to become self-independent and successful missionaries. After 6 months of sewing course and receiving graduation certificates, our sisters have become independent and capable of running their own businesses of sewing clothes. This ministry has not only helped them to uplift themselves but has empowered many women as a single, widow, divorced, and others. Also, RHMI has rescued, intervened and supported many sisters, who were sometimes a victim of girls-trafficking. The sewing training has provided them a new perspective on their life and encouraged them to continue living their lives with extra hope. Dear Partners, thank you very much for providing an income generation opportunity for them. Thank you for giving a 'once in a lifetime means of escape' from poverty by helping to empower these women and young girls to escape the sex trafficking trade through the purchase of a sewing machine. In remotest Himalayas, about 75% of children are stunted because of poor feeding and repeated infections. In 2018, due to poverty and improper nutritious foods, the infant mortality rate in Nepal was about 26.7 deaths per 1,000 live births. Over the past decades, RHMI has been feeding many underprivileged, deprived, and poor children with nutritious foods. However, Jesus' Kitchen ministry under RHMI is not only concerned about nutritious feeding, but we are also aware of their personal and spiritual development. 'God Hears Child's prayer early'. ============================= I remember this beautiful child who was quietly praying in her own rumbling voice. We were having a big conference on the other side of the big hall. I wanted to meet some wonderful kids in their Sunday school and click some snaps of them and capture their beautiful memories. Then suddenly, this young girl caught my attention. I went near to hear and wanted to hear her prayer. I was amazed as I heard her saying, "Jesus! I miss you a lot. Do you miss me? I want you to come to meet me tomorrow because I have my birthday party, and could you please buy me that Red dress as my birthday gift? I will have my friends Sikha and Leela too. Also, please love my Father and Mother, the way I love them so much." I was stunned. And I found myself in tears. Immediately, after service, I met her parents and gave them some money to gift their child the Red dress she was expecting as a birthday gift. Her parents were full of tears in their eyes for they shared with me that they wanted to gift her the dress, but they had no money even to celebrate her birthday with a small cake. I couldn't stop myself from adding some more money to her birthday party. "Hearing the voices of Destitute" =========================== Poverty is pain. Poor people suffer physical pain that comes with too little food and long hours of work; emotional pain stemming from the daily humiliations of dependency and lack of power; and the moral pain from being forced to make choices such as whether to pay to save the life of an ill family member or to use the money to feed their children. It attacks a person not only materially but also morally. It eats away one’s dignity and drives one into total despair. But here's the Good news: God has appointed us to eradicate poverty from in and out of the surface of the Himalayas because our Rich Father in Heaven wants His children to be rich in every aspect. "A Regular Day in a Well" ======================== Water scarcity in the Himalayan regions is not an unusual mystery. Safe drinking water is the necessity of the community, dwelling in the remotest villages of the Himalayas. Especially, as women are mostly responsible for many household chores, they must travel miles to get water which wastes their day time and energy. In the tap, well or source of water, they have to stand in a queue and wait until for their turn. Ignored and sometimes humiliated. These regions lack many developmental works. @pic: our beloved Christian sister filling water in the Nepali local gallon called Gagri. They don't only come and go with filling water but share Gospels to anyone they meet on their way and in the well. They never get tired of praising the Glories of God. Despite their tight work schedules, they never forget to gather in the evening to worship God's praises and do a fellowship. This not only expresses the passion for Christ but also expresses a way to balance both physical and spiritual life. "Strength of Faith" ========================= Nepal is highly vulnerable to several disasters for example earthquakes, floods, landslides, fires, epidemics, avalanches, windstorms, hailstorms, lightning, glacier lake outburst floods, droughts, and dangerous weather events. Among these disasters— an earthquake is the most- scary and damaging. The effects of a disaster, whether natural or human-induced, are often long-lasting. The earthquake of 25 April 2015 in Nepal enormously affected human, socio-economic, and other multiple sectors and left deep scars mainly in the economy, livelihood, and infrastructure of the country. However, our beloved believers stand firm in faith in God. Despite the huge loss of houses, livestock, and lands, they have learned to live in happiness imitating Jesus.
