Like all the pillar men, Depeshu can freely manipulate his own body, regenerate, absorb people, etc.

Depeshu's signature abilities are largely defensive and require physical contact to be effective; because of this, he often stalls his opponents, goading and tanking hits them until his opponent gets tired. Additionally, the more blood that is spilled, the easier it is for Depeshu to use his abilities.

Elemental Battle Mode: Depeche Mode Iron and Blood. Depeshu combines the iron in his blood with metallic minerals in the earth to produce the following effects:

Ironhide: Depeshu covers his body in rock-hard scale-like armor, not unlike the sclerites of the volcano snail. Like Wamuu's Wind Suit, it can protect from sunlight. Additionally, Hamon is diffused across the surface, reducing its potency.

Iron Maiden: Depeshu grows razor-sharp claws and nail-like spikes from major arteries.

Cold-Blooded: On touch, Depeshu crystalizes the blood in his opponent’s veins, preventing blood flow (and Hamon use) in the immediate surrounding area and causing severe internal bleeding.

Final Mode - Heart to Heart: Pulling the blood directly from his and his opponent’s hearts through their chests, Depeshu creates a linked blood source, a “red string of fate” so to speak. While the string remains intact, the abilities Depeshu uses are mimicked by his opponent’s body, which is (usually) not equipped to lose copious amounts of blood, grow iron scales and spikes, etc. This also works in reverse; the abilities Depeshu's opponent uses (e.g., Hamon techniques) are mimicked by his own body. As such, this ability would only be used as a last resort. Also, Depeshu has type o- blood so on the off chance that his opponent survives, their body won’t react. :)
