1. Luostarinmäki museum quarter in Turku, Finland. This place has so much to see, easy to spend a whole day exploring the different houses and learning about several different handicraft techniques. Also just a really beautiful place overall.

2. The Vasa museum in Stockholm, Sweden. You can see the whole disaster ship up close from bottom to top. The museum is built around the ship and has lots of levels so you can see the ship from different angles. There is a corner of interactive games for children that were fun to play :D

3. The National Museum of Finland in Helsinki, Finland. It's been years when I visited, I was still a teen but I remember really liking this place. It's closed for renovation now and is supposed to reopen in 2027, I'm waiting to go visit it again then.

4. The National Museum of Slovenia and The Slovenian Museum of Natural History in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Okay I'm cheating a little and combining these two together, because they are in the same building. National museum has lots of interesting artefacts such as the world's oldest flute and some really nice old jewellery. When you read the info signs it feels like they found like half of the stuff from Ljubljanica river. The natural history museum is pretty small but still interesting. They have a HUGE taxidermied moose head in there. Moose hunting is a thing in my village and I have seen plenty of dead moose up close, but never anything as big as that one. I remember just staring at it in awe.

5. Natural History Museum of Funchal in Funchal, Madeira. Okay this one is on the list because it was kinda bizarre. It's the oldest museum in Madeira and you can see it. It has lots of old taxidermied fish as you can expect from an island town museum. I was actually scared of entering one of the rooms, it had stuff like big taxidermied sharks staring at you with their dead zombie-like eyes, they looked super creepy. I'm pretty sure the museum also had a pothead whale with parts of its body missing, i think it missed either fins or a tail.
