TATTOOS: He doesnāt have one yet but heās been planning on getting one of the x-men insignia because heās literally a giant nerd. He just wonāt get it while heās living at home.
CLOTHING STYLE: Hand me downs from Jonathan, typically lots of flannel and loosely fitting jeans. Every great once in a while heās got a graphic t-shirt thatās got some nerd thing on it- Ghostbusters, X- Men, Star Wars, etc.- but for the most part he wears solid color shirts under his flannel ( theyāre cheaper ). Will looks kind of like he rolled in a thrift shop clothing pile and walked out to go to school a lot of the time.
USUAL EXPRESSION: Will tries to be more aware of his expression, keeping almost always a mild but pleasant look on his face- slightly upturned mouth, face clear of lines that would suggest anything else occupying his thoughts than whatever is being said to him and his eyes attentive. If he doesnāt pay attention to what his face is doing, more often than not itāll settle into a deep almost brooding expression.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: Ā Will just generally looks unwell with the dark circles under his eyes and pale skin. He has a thick, round, quarter-sized scar on his left thigh where Nancy burned him to banish the Mind Flayer.
NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder
SLEEPING HABITS: Will is a night owl, he stays up until two or three in the morning easily and constantly lives on three- five hours of sleep. He makes up for that on weekends though, filling his Saturday and Sunday with naps. When Will finally falls asleep, he doesnāt have trouble staying that way-- if anything heās a pain in the ass to get back up once he falls asleep.Ā
EATING HABITS:Ā Will eats like shit. Not in like what he eats but in the fact that he just doesnāt eat very much. After coming back from the Upside Down, smells and mouth feels of most foods made him feel sick, making eating more an exercise in choking things down. Heās gotten better about it but he still doesnāt eat much, picks at his food more than anything. He mostly lives off black coffee, crackers and cigarettes.Ā
EXERCISE HABITS:Ā Will rides his bike to school most days and thatās the extent of his exercise. He would never lift weights or run or anything like that just out of the sheer embarrassment heād feel when his noodle arms gave out or if he couldnāt run even a quarter of a quarter of a mile without stopping to hack up a lung thanks to his smoking habit.Ā
EMOTIONAL STABILITY: 5-7, fairly middle of the road. Most of Willās emotional instability has been shoved down so far that no one will ever find it ( or at least so he thinks ). Heās not someone people immediately think of when they thinkĀ āstrongā but Will is fiercely protective over his friends and family and can withstand an enormous amount of pressure before cracking. Even once he cracks, heāll still fight like hell to keep it together.Ā
SOCIABILITY: Will is fairly middle of the road with sociability. He likes to be around people and hates to feel excluded or forgotten but he also needsĀ to have time to himself. He does best either one on one or in the big group- in smaller groups of two or three, he ends up feeling like a third wheel.Ā
BODY TEMPERATURE: Ever since the Mind Flayer possessed him, Will has run a few degrees colder than normal. He craves warmth and always keeps one of Jonathanās old hoodies with him tucked in his backpack.Ā
ADDICTIONS: Cigarettes. Heās been smoking since he was fourteen and smokes enough to rival his mom and Hopper. He can easily go through a pack a day, depending on how stressful the day itself is.
DRUG USE: Recreational/Medicinal Marijuana use. Look, Will doesnāt know that heās self medicating. All he knows is that when he gets high, he doesnāt have the dreams and the nightmares and the Now Memories that seem so very different from when he was connected to the Mind Flayer ( Now Memories he doesnāt want to explore too closely to see where the source is ).
ALCOHOL USE: Will doesnāt drink normally just because of how he remembers Lonnie being when he drank. In a social situation, heāll have a couple of drinks here or there ( as if heās had a ton of opportunity to do so ) but heās never been drunk.

GOALS/DESIRES: Will would love to go to art school. He doesnāt want to try and become some artist whose art hangs in a gallery-- the thought of being an artist for a comic book is the Dream. Heās not sure what he wants otherwise. He wants to be happy. He isnāt sure if he wants a big family or anything, maybe just himself and a dog and someone else to talk to.Ā
FEARS: Being out of control- Willās greatest fear is not being in control of himself, like when the Mind Flayer possessed him. Nothing is more terrifying than the thought of being trapped like that. Small spaces- that feeling of being trapped that comes with them. Rejection- there is a part of Will that is convinced that if he ever admitted his sexuality aloud that the ones he loves the most would be the first to reject him and itās the being alone and abandoned that is what scares him the most.Ā
HOBBIES: Art- drawing/sketching specifically but in the last four years heās become quite the painter. Heās recently started getting into watercolor. D&D- he hasnāt played since they left Hawkins, not knowing where he could find a party with a better DM than Mike ( though he briefly considered asking Bill, who wrote good stories but who stuttered, making the thought of a long campaign seem endless ) but heās excited to get back into it now that Mike is with the rest of them. Shooting- Hopper takes Will down to the shooting range and they shoot together. Will learned how to shoot from his mom ( perks of living on the outskirts of town in the forest: having to learn how to shoot a gun ) but itās Hopper thatās helped hone the ability. It started out as a way to help Will feel more in control in the wake of the Mind Flayer but ended up being an every other weekend event. Will likes shooting well enough so long as itās just a paper target, he mostly goes because he likes spending time with Hopper.Ā
HABITS: Will is always moving in some small, almost annoying way. His leg bounces, his pen or fingers tap, heās always moving in some way. He bites his nails- yes, he knows he shouldnāt but that hasnāt stopped him yet. Smoking. Chewing gum to help curb the craving to smoke.Ā
WEATHER: Will craves sunshine. This kid gets the worst Seasonal Affective Disorder like he needs sunshine to live. Even though itās sometimes very uncomfortable, he sort of relishes in the discomfort of being outside the hottest days of the year and just soaking up as much sunshine as he can. Someone get this boy some Vitamin D3 clearly there is some deficiency.Ā
COLOUR: Will loves all the colors but if he had to pick one it would probably be yellow.
MUSIC: Willās taste in music is largely influenced by Jonathan so lots of rock music- The Clash, The Who, Pink Floyd, The Ramones. He and Jonathan share a joke about āliking Kenny Logginsā but Will has a small soft spot for Loggins and other soft rock alternatives.
MOVIES: This will come as a surprise to literally no one but Will is a massive sci-fi / fantasy nerd. He loves Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Tron, but his absolute all time favorite movie is Willow.
SPORT: Will is so incredibly unsporty itās not even funny. Heāll go to the games or meets to see Mike H. or Ben but thatās only to cheer on his friends not because he actually enjoys the sport itself.
FOOD: Karen Wheelerās Lasagna and banana pudding
