“You almost did it,” She said, sitting next to him without excusing herself. “I know it’s frustrating but if you focus you’ll get it and then soon it will be old hat. She flicked her wand, spoke the incantation, and the large snail turned into a small teapot. “See? The only difference between you and I is that my mother spent about three hours teaching me that charm.”
He hadn’t been expecting her to sit, and he was slightly confused for a moment, unsure of what she wanted. “Three hours?” He frowned. It felt like he’d been trying this spell for longer. Magic was still foreign, if a little scary for him, and perhaps that was the problem. It seemed so easy for all the other people but him. “Oh, I guess... I should keep practicing and.. focus.”
