Holly laughed a little when Will admitted he hadnât recognized her at first, which wasnât too surprising to her. She had been friends with one of his foster siblings back in high school but that was about six years ago at this point. And they havenât seen much of one another since then. âItâs okay, Iâve changed my hair since that last time we saw each other,â she joked. âAnd I think I might have gotten a little taller! So, you know, lots of changesâŚâÂ
Holly tilted her head back as the dog began to lick her. She didnât mind it but she didnât want him to get all over her face. âAw. Hi, Trey,â she greeted the dog, running her fingers through his fur. âOh, I think thatâs totally normal. I mean, Iâm not an expert but one of my neighbors has a dog walking company and Iâm pretty sure sheâs said that their puppy stage lasts a few years. So, heâs allowed to get super excited to meet new people. Right, Trey?âÂ
He made a show of sizing her up after her explanation. âWell, your hair looks great.â he replied with a chuckle. It had been a while since heâd seen Holly, but after his foster sibling left town, it was good to see her. In a way, it was like he was getting a piece of his old life back by seeing Holly. She reminded him of âthe good old days.â Not that there was anything wrong with life not, just... he had had a wonderful experience in the Archer household.Â
He grinned, âI suppose it is better than him hating meeting new people, right?â Sure, Treyâs hyperactivity could be a bit much, but Will wouldnât trade it for a grumpy, unfriendly dog any day. âYour neighbor wouldnât happen to be Zara Vasquez, would it?â he asked curiously.Â
