Together with my friends from Onda I organised a workshop in the epicenter of Sao Paulo’s grafitti scene Beco de Batman. The workshop was the first one to be hosted by Vivei.ro, a recently opened co-working space in the street and was attended by a marvellous group of people as diverse as teachers, designers, activists and scientists.
This summer I contributed to Fazenda Santas Esther’s Co-working Camp in rural Sao Paulo state by giving several visual thinking workshops to the designers, artist, coaches and entrepreneurs taking part in the camp.
Social housing corporation de Alliantie we visualised a day of inspiration and concept development about their future role in society. In the morning we visualised the presentations from a range of thinkers and in the afternoon we made visuals for various elevator pitches.
The Missing Chapter foundation gives children a voice in societal debates and discussions. This edition was about how schools can listen better to the voices of children. Of course our drawing of their ideas quickly led to them to join in on our drawing.

Together with consultants from TWST I helped social housing corporation Woonstad to revamp their company values. It was a very energetic week in which we explored the culture and operations to get at the core of what they are about as an organisation.
For the Education World Forum me and my colleagues Sven, Mei-Li en Vera visualized the ongoings of this gathering of world education minister. On top of that we presented our vision of visual thinking as a critical learning tool in the classrooms of the world. To be continued!
Samen werken aan water is a cooperation initiative from the councils of Dutch municipalities, waterships and drinking water companies. Together with them my colleagues Robert Smit and I created a map to show the different initiatives in which these parties work together.
As part of taking part in Young Circle, a network event hosted by Financieele Dagblad, aimed at young entrepreneurs, I visualised the evening’s discussions in one visual. This night’s topic was the role technology will play in tomorrow’s business environment. The answer: we must dance with it!

Together with my colleague Sven Lentz and I taught a group of students at The Heathland School in London visual thinking. The workshop was hosted by carreer counselor Chris Couch and was aimed at helping them to get a grip on their career paths, by mapping them. It was a great and very rewarding experience! Made possible with the gracious support of British Airways.
This year we had our company’s biggest year yet and it did not go unnoticed. We got nominated for the FD Gazellen Awards, a list of the Netherlands fastest growing companies!
To launch our new international brand Flatland, we organised a pop-up office at the Dutch Design Week. Friends, family, clients and partners mixed and experienced the power of visual thinking together. Here’s a short impression: https://tinyurl.com/y9g7ts59

For Financieele Dagdblad, the Netherlands leading financial paper me and my colleague Piet van Rosmalen visualised and summarized the do’s and don’ts of scaling up at ‘Nieuwe Kampioenen’ (Dutch for ‘New Champions’).
For MVO Nederland, an organisation devoted to making Healthcare more sustainable, my colleagues and me visualized their ‘Expedition’ around the country inspiring healthcare professionals en capturing their ideas and practices.
