starter / the day after the midsummer ball / open
Garland already missed the familiarity of the Reach, he had been in Dorne before on occasion, but he never quite grew fond of their culture, they are too unruly and unpredictable for his taste. He had been changing into a lighter shirt as the heat was slowly suffocating him when shouts from outside his cabin could be heard. Considering the chaos of last night, he expected to be faced with the worst, but when he arrived then it was merely his crew shouting at a drunk crowd of people drinking right below their ship. “Disperse and get away from the docks!” Lord Redwyne shouted down at them with apathy vowed into his every word, expecting them to follow orders. He had even turned his back when he heard the sound of a breaking bottle, he turned around to see one of the men raising his hand to throw yet another at the Arbor Queen. Fury gripped him and he stepped down the board with angry steps.
“I told you to disperse!” he growled and grabbed the collar of the man holding the bottle, ironically, it was a bottle of Arbor wine. “Do as I say or I will break that bottle on your head.” His threat seemed to work and he let go of the man who muttered curses under his breath and slithered away with his friends. Anger was still pumping in his veins, so he decided to stay put for a while before going back on the ship.
foolishness maybe it could be considered but will still hoped for peace to come out of these meetings. he did want the kingdoms back under one rule but he knew it would take more than one talk in dorne to achieve that, but the beginnings of peace could happen here if they tried. willem could continue on his job in keeping the peace here even if this chaotic night had thrown all of them off course.
he had gotten good word that the tyrells had brought in another one of their advisors, arriving just as the night erupted into madness. at least there was one man amongst them not covered in bruises. heading down towards the docks, guards close behind as no one wanted to take any chances of being the next one harmed, he spotted the dark-haired man. although he certainly didn't seem to be calmly enjoying the view but instead yelling at a group that had gathered near his ship. seeing the man's anger willem had half a mind to turn around but he was afraid that might be seen as rude. he wanted to make sure he didn't do anything else to insult the tyrells. "lord redwyne, it seems like you were able to get rid of trouble. i had come to borrow a few moments of your time but i am happy to come back another time if you would want."
