Rolling her eyes playfully, she gripped his hand tighter as they moved through a denser portion of the path. Making sure she was watching where she stepped, she only looked up when he spoke about Mars.

“It’s a wonder I’ve never met you with all the times I’ve come to visit Catherine. And Mars…she can certainly be a handful.” Giggling, she gasped as her foot snagged a loose root and she fell forward into him.

“Well, mostly I been either workin’ or with my buddy Brody. Have she talked about her husband, Brutus, to you a lot huh? Man wait till ya’ see her with him and it’s like they are flirtin’ none stop and her callin’ him her stallion. Poor Alex have to shout for them to get a room numerous time.” He added with a snort before catch her, when she did is where he almost wanted to laugh at how light she is.

“That makes sense. I really have only spent time in the manor with Cathy and Mars...” She snorted lightly at the image of Mars and her husband and son. It was a relationship she somewhat envied but always felt bad for having those feelings. Managing to stand up straight again, she glared at the root that had tripped her.

She pouted a bit. That definitely sounded like Catherine. Looking up at Marvin, she cocked her head to the side and lifted an eyebrow at his smirk.

“Are you always this cocky when you meet new people?” She teased lightly as she looked around. She had never taken this path before but had decided this would be the way she would go from now on. It was such a beautiful path from the village.

“Hey, my ma’ was the same so it run in the blood.” He winked at her, leading her up and making sure she doesn’t tripped over the dead branches and any vegetation. He so need to have the rookies come help clean up the mess before a very drunk Japanese vampire get hurt and Celeste have to dragged her lover straight back to the manor.

She couldn’t help but giggle at his friends’ reactions. He apparently soulmate did seem to enjoy teasing and being teased by his friends.

“Nice to meet you, Marvin.” She grinned, brushing her hair back from her face as she blushed slightly at his friends’ words. Looking at his hand for a moment, she placed hers gently into it.

“I suppose we shall…though I’m sure Cathy will be even more upset with me now…I’m so late for tea.” She giggled, squeezing his hand gently.

“Hey it’s no problem, just worry about us boys here…expect for this one. He’s a married British man.” He pointed at Brody with a teasing grinned, expecting a shove from his old friend. That’s when he noticed the numbers, it was 0 and the look on his face made the others snickered and muttered ‘now he notice’. “Uh, I’m Marvin…you know maybe I should escort ya’. Can’t tell if we got some creeps here–not you Brody.”

“Nice to meet you, Marvin.” She grinned, brushing her hair back from her face as she blushed slightly at his friends’ words. Looking at his hand for a moment, she placed hers gently into it.

"Man, ya think ya know but ya' don't." Marvin joked with Brody and the other coven defense after a good training, of course picking on the youngest who made comment that ended up being a running joke. He didn't even see the numbers counting down, while Brody was next to pick on the other before mention about his wife Ester.

When a woman passed by, he noticed her wallet fell causing him to call out to her and hand it with a slight smirk. "Ya drop this, can't have someone steal it. Right?" He added, the others notice the numbers went to zero all huddle together with a shock look.

“Oh gosh, thank you so much. I’m really in a tizzy right now.” She smiled awkwardly as she took her wallet. Then she felt her arm throb gently, causing her to look at her numbers. Zeros. Slowly looking up, she finally actually looked at the man who had handed her her wallet.
