I do want to come back. I don’t know what that’ll look like or what muses I’ll keep. I’ve got a lot of work to do. It’s been...a while. I may go back to just being a single muse blog, I have no idea. 

Mostly, though, I’ve missed the people here and I want to do a better job of keeping in touch. And I do still want to write with you all.

she looked up when they came into the room, her eyes red and puffy from crying. she shifted on the bed to make space, holding her arms out. she hated how raw she felt and there was a part of her that wanted to push them away.

I know I haven’t been here in a while and, to be honest, I'm probably not coming back? I've been enjoying things on discord more. it’s just easier for me and far more chill.

“I haven’t. I’m sorry.”

No one came to the part of the forest where Niamh lived - not usually, at least. The road they were one was one of the less traveled ones as well, which is why Niamh preferred it when she made her trips into town. “But when I go into town, I can keep an eye out for him. I don’t mind.” It was possible he was there trying to figure out where Vex herself had went. It wasn’t a large town, but it was a hub of civilization for the forest around it.

“And if he isn’t there, perhaps someone has seen him. I can ask a few of the merchants while I’m there.” She didn’t exactly have any friends in town but she knew some of the shopkeepers. They liked her well enough.

Damn. Vex knew that it was too much to hope for. As they walked, she kept a keen eye out for any familiar tracks. She didn’t see any but she tried to stay optimistic. Vax was resourceful. He was fine. He was probably in town, waiting for her to show up. Maybe she would leave Trinket in the forest and go into town with Niamh. That wasn’t a terrible idea. Trinket could find a safe place to hide. 

“I think I’ll join you, darling, if that’s all right.” Trinket made a soft noise beside her and she shot him a sympathetic look. “Oh I know, buddy, but I can’t bring you into town and we do need to find Vax.” She scratched behind his ears. “I promise I won’t be gone too long and if I am, perhaps you could find Niamh?” She posed the question to the other woman, glancing over at her.

“I’m all right.” There were cuts and scrapes. Nothing twinged too badly and she could walk. Overall she figured that she was well enough to not need any healing. Better that it be used on those who had worse injuries.

She prodded at her temple and winced. The pain shot through her like electricity, but she didn’t feel dizzy at least. Getting punched in the face was going to leave one hell of a bruise. At least she had been able to bite the bastard who’d done it. She couldn’t help but be a little smug about that.

“Besides, once Fjord is healed up, he’s going to come fret over me for at least twenty minutes. He’s a mother hen.” As if she wasn’t the exact same way. She fell quiet for a moment, frowning at the state of Essek’s robes. “I would offer to fix your robes, but I think you might be better off getting a new set. I don’t think I could scrub all of the blood out of them.” 

Essek frowned when she prodded at her temple and he felt a quick surge of anger. He hadn’t seen what caused it but he was still annoyed that it happened to Niamh. She was too precious and too sweet to be put through this. He wished he had something he could give to her but that type of magic wasn’t his specialty. He was no healer.

Her remark about his robes made him frown as he glanced down. “Oh.” He looked like he had been in a fight (and lost). He looked at Niamh and smiled. “Now that I can do something about.” Using prestidigitation, Essek at least eliminate most of the blood stains on his clothing. Enough that he didn’t look like he lost a fight.

he is swallowing hard as he was holding the lead rope but Roach is more in the lead at the moment than he is , a half smile is lingering on his lips as then he carries on to say “ great then I will skin it and you can cook it , while I am going to  clean up a bit I am sorry I normally live on my own and we are mostly on the road so the cabin is more for us to rest.” 

A pause follows as tongue is darting over his lower lips and then he carries on to add, “ well it is kind of strange to be honest most people see me and turn away because of who I am so it is rather refreshing to find someone that is not afraid, as I tell you about my day later on , you can also tell me a few things about yourself.”

“Well, you’re in luck, because my knowledge of witchers is extremely limited. That’s what you said earlier, isn’t it? That people walk away at the sight of a witcher? Which would make you one.” God, she could be walking herself into a trap. She had done that plenty of times back home. Maybe admitting that she knew nothing about him wasn’t the brightest idea she’d ever had. No. If he wanted her dead, he could have done it already. Now if he wanted to hold her captive...well, she could get herself out of that without breaking much of a sweat.

he is sucking in a deep breath and he honestly just wants for the ground to open up and just swallow him inside than facing the music of losing Evie , he knew that she just wanted to have fun it was what it was, but it was not just that for him but he had thought that from losing her just this little time with her was more than enough. And now a child coming to the picture, eyes meet the other’s as Nicholas is talking and he knew there was a point in there, as he is taking a sip from his drink he then carries on to say.

“ Evie means a lot to me I was in a very dark place before her to be honest, due to this ex actually but this child is not to blame you know it is why I want to be there for him to be a good father and  you have a point when it comes to choosing as much as it pains me , but what if her and I are meant to be?, I thought alcohol would help clear my mind and lucky man seems like you found the one for you “

Nicolas sighed softly. He was going to have to get brutally honest about Evelyn, wasn’t he? And if she found out about it, he was in deep shit. But if it could help, if it could make Alex feel better, it would be worth it. He cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his neck.

“She’s scared, Alex. She probably won’t tell you that. I’d be shocked to hear if she did. But she’s scared of everything changing. She’s probably scared of losing you and doesn’t want to say that because then she’d have to admit that she has feelings. And she doesn’t want you to have to choose between her and your child, so she’s probably trying to figure out how to break things off cleanly.” 

Evelyn didn’t know why she had asked Elena what she would do. She liked Elena, truly she did. But Elena was far more of a goody-two-shoes than Evelyn was. Of course that would have been her answer. It frustrated Evelyn because she knew her initial reaction to run was the wrong one. But just because she knew it was wrong didn’t mean she wanted to know it was wrong. She didn’t want to work on this. She didn’t want to acknowledge her hurt feelings or her disappointment.

“Okay, maybe that was the wrong question to ask. You’re both disgustingly in love, so of course that’s how you would answer. But Alex and I aren’t like that.” That’s a fucking lie, but that’s what she’s going with because she is NOT unboxing her feelings for Alex right now. “We’re just having a thing. I think he thinks that things will be the same but how can they possibly be the same now?”

her hand is reaching for the glass she could now also use the alcohol as she was taking a sip from it , she sets it down and eyes meet the other’s as then she carries on to say “ we are and I am not even ashamed from it , Nicholas has helped me heal in many ways from things from the past. And  I do not think it was a wrong question to ask, but if it is what is it that you truly want to ask?”

A pause follows as a breath was taken and then she carries on to add, “ a thing it is interesting if this is just a thing then you wouldn’t have come here with bottles of alcohol you would just get along with it. I mean you do not feel anything about Alex so what is it that it’s truly bothering you Evelyn?, you can talk to me and whatever we say I promise it will stay here”

Fucking Elena.

Evelyn should have just gone over to Caius’ and Gina’s place. At least Gina would have let her rant, vent, bitch, moan, groan, and get horrendously drunk without asking too many probing questions. But then she remembered that Gina was visiting her family and wouldn’t be back for another week. Elena was basically her only outlet right now. Maybe staying home alone and drinking would have been a better idea.

She semi-glared at the brunette as she gulped from the bottle of tequila. Oh, she was going to be puking in the morning and she wasn’t going to regret it. “Okay, fine,” she sighed, fingernails tapping against the bottle. She took a deep breath. “What Alex and I are doing isn’t just a thing. It’s more than just a thing. I...I really think I was falling in love with him. But...I don’t want to be a mom. Not right now, anyway. Maybe not ever. So what’s the point in continuing this if it’s just not going to work?”
