Had a productive day today. Got the garden ready to plow, cleaned out the Bluebird boxes, not sure what happened, in one box I found 6 dead tree swallows under another birds nest?? Then out with the old & in with the new high riaser #martinhouse. Took pictures of one...something like this one in Oregon a couple years ago with @sunandbeesabrina & copied it the best I could. I'm sure @lydiaggreen will enjoy this on the pole & not just hanging out on the front porch this summer...;^)... Has been a rough couple days...slipping on my a$$ 4 times dragging him 1 1/2 hours out to the open where I could get him loaded. Then hanging in the barn till I can process him. Picked up the trail where I left off the night before, after making a couple circles was able to figure which direction he headed. Another 50 yards & I can not tell you how relieved I was. Did not sleep much the night before with different scenarios of what I could have done for a better out come. Now just have to drag him out. +-200yards though Maltiflora Rose. For those not familiar with this flowering thorn vine. When tangled up in it, it's just short of ripping flesh from bone...;^)... Not impressed with the placement of the arrow, a little back. Amateur misstake of holding the grip, did this last year as well(MORE PRACTICE) .....I have my work cut out for me now....Waited a couple hours then went out with a spot light. After +-200 yards, not only did I loose the blood trail, spot light died. Hung my hat in a tree & used my phone's light to get out. Not calling for rain, will take time off work & try in the AM. Day 2, Sunday. Early (well earlier) start home, but first a 50 minute ride north east of Lake Placid, where we were staying. That is where we're going. Thought it looked cool with the light reflecting off the windows. Have only hiked, 2 #firetowers now that still were inclosed in glass.
