˗ˏˋ 𑁍ࠬ ˎˊ˗ Perhaps the mention of Rex Lapis had been too much, any weaker god would surely fear him. Just look at how the little one had responded, ❝That was too much, I apologize,❞ she kneels down to the other's level extending her sleeved hand. An offering of peace to show the other that she was no threat.

Oh. Somehow, the human's voice was a little... gentler now. Ditto wasn't sure what they were saying, but, they offered a palm. Even wild, Ditto understood that sometimes humans did that to allow Pokemon to sniff them, as a sign of peace.

So, carefully, its pebble-like body softened and loosened, billowing back into its ordinary gelatinous form, and Ditto sniffed-- yes, sniffed, by inching forward and touching the human's fingers, gently. A thin membrane coated its body, cold to the touch, almost wet, yet the human would find her fingers remained dry even after touching a supposedly slimy creature.

Ditto had been wandering the forest for a while now. None of the plants tried to talk to it. Grass-type Pokemon often hid until they found someone friendly to play with. None of the weeds Ditto pulled were any Oddish either-- or any real food, for that matter. All it could find was funny-looking grass and pretty flowers that it didn't have the heart to eat. It did try munching on one flower's petals, a necessity after its little belly felt empty for way too long. Unfortunately, the petal was very bitter. Ditto spat it out immediately.

It had made its wish so very long ago. The shooting star must've been far out of reach by now. Not a single Pokemon passed Ditto by. Not a single berry fell from the trees. It even tried climbing a few. But they were all devoid of anything even remotely resembling a berry. The leaves weren't edible either; Ditto tried.

All that was left was whatever lay ahead at the clearing on the top of the mountain. The sky had turned a brilliant shade of orange. Ditto worried the sun would set soon. It hadn't found anything to eat today. Maybe it should focus on finding someplace to hide instead.

But how odd. Its wish was certainly to make lots and lots of friends. But there were no friends to be made here.

At least, that was what Ditto had thought, until a voice completely caught it off guard.

In a flash of silvery light, Ditto condensed itself into little more than a tiny purple pebble with beady eyes and a straight mouth. The voice belonged to a pretty human. But Ditto hadn't even sensed the pretty human's presence. Was she just that good at hiding?

I was the original Ditto Appreciator. They LAUGHED AT ME. LOOK AT ME NOW BITCHES

"AH! BUDDY! YA GOTTA EAT IT PIECE BY PIECE!"

Ryuki brought in some nice cold moomoo-milk, always strapped to help with the heat, be it just burns or spicy. His hand rubbed up against the gelatinous body; the ditto had to soothe his buddy.

He doesn't have the Poke-dex app on his phone, mostly because he had his old dad's dex...that he left home...honestly, he just doesn't use it, and guess what his Pokémons likes. Worked out so far...till now.

"Here, drink up Mochi. This may quell yer belly."

Hot! Hot! Hot!

Ditto-- no, Mochi eagerly gulped down the refreshing, cool, sweet Moomoo Milk. Its poor tongue would sadly not recover for another full day, but at the very least, the rest of its mouth was no longer in burning agony. But how could Mochi have known the fluffy yellow cloud was going to be hot?!

If it had a voice, it would have whimpered. Since it didn't, Mochi quivered in place, tears welling into its tiny, beady eyes. Why did such yummy food have to be so ouchy?

"Yeah, food wiggle!"

Ryuki wanders on into the ditto's little habitat, which it made for itself, bringing in stacked lunchboxes of homemade food along with vendor snacks. How was he able to get them? Don't worry about it.

So!! Many!! Foods!!!

Which one should Ditto try first?! That yellow and red stuff looked so soft and smelled amazing, but those Poke Puffs looked so colorful and fluffy that they just BEGGED to be eaten!

After carefully considering its options, Ditto wiggled closer to the yellow cloud-- it smelled like eggs and something sour but yummy-- and took a biiiiiig bite!
