Ryuuta Tasaki, the director of the live-action series, played Kenji Tsukino when he appeared for the first and only time in the Special Act.

Mai Watanabe, the twelfth actress to play Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter in the Sailor Moon musicals, was the twentieth longest running performer in Sera Myu history, and the longest running Sailor Jupiter, making her the longest running Inner Senshi not from the first stage.

Ayaka Komatsu, who played Sailor Venus in the live-action series, hates whipped cream - which made the scene where she had to eat some in Act 12 a very unpleasant one for her.

May 24 is the birthday of Keiko Takeda, the first actress to play Hotaru Tomoe/Sailor Saturn in the Sailor Moon musicals.  Her first show was Sailor Moon SuperS - Yume Senshi - Ai - Eien ni… in 1995, although the character of Hotaru did not technically debut until the next musical, and her last show was Eien Densetsu (Kaiteiban) - The Final First Stage, in 1998.

In 1997 the Italian psychologist Vera Slepoj declared that the last season of the Sailor Moon anime would seriously compromise children’s sexual identity because of the Three Lights’ sex change when they transformed into Sailor Senshi. Because of this, in the Italian dub there were a number of changes which altered the storyline, one of which was that the Sailor Starlights were the twin sisters of the Three Lights and switched places with their twins when they transformed.

After graduating from the musicals, Fumina has performed many roles in TV dramas and as a voice actress for various anime shows. She has also become considerably popular as an idol and has released quite a few DVDs.

Shino Kakinuma, who played Naru Osaka in the original anime, returned to play Hotaru’s mother, Keiko, in Act 32 of Sailor Moon Crystal.

Episode 78 was the first time in the original anime that Makoto was shown with her hair out of its ponytail.

May 17 is the birthday of Nanae Abe, the second actress to play Minako Aino/Sailor Venus at the Shining Moon Tokyo stage show.

For the first eight episodes of the original Brazilian Portuguese dub of the anime, Mamoru and Tuxedo Mask had different voice actors because the production staff did not know they were the same person.
