First and foremost, welcome! I want this blog to be a fun, comfortable, and low-stress place for both myself and the people I write with. That said, there are a few boundaries I need to establish in order to protect my own wellbeing and make sure everyone knows what to expect when interacting with me.
01. PRIVATE, SELECTIVE & MUTUALS ONLY
This is a private, selective, and mutuals-only blog. In order to interact with me, we must be following one another. This boundary is in place for my own comfort and safety due to experiences I've had with people in the past. It is not intended to be rude or exclusionary. I simply prefer to actually know who I'm writing with and have the ability to see their content as well. A lot of my character development, background information, headcanons, and other details will be revealed throughout my blog, so being mutuals is important to me. I will also be checking rules, carrds, and/or pinned posts before interacting. Please understand that I expect the same consideration in return.
I live with several chronic health issues, and roleplay is one of the ways I relax and relieve stress. Because of that, my activity and response times can vary considerably. There may be times when I'm extremely active, and there may be times when I'm slow or disappear for a while. I apologize in advance for any delays. It is never a reflection of how I feel about you or our interactions. If you believe I've accidentally missed a reply, please feel free to reach out and let me know. I genuinely don't mind being reminded. If I block you, however, please respect that boundary. I do not block people without a reason. Rude or hateful anons will simply be deleted. I am not interested in arguing with people through anonymous messages.
I don't do traditional greeter posts. Once we're mutuals, you're more than welcome to:
Come into my DMs to chat or discuss ideas.
Throw your character at mine and see what happens.
I'm pretty easygoing when it comes to interactions. I generally prefer to let things develop naturally rather than forcing a particular direction. I've had experiences in the past where heavily plotted interactions ended up going completely differently than expected, and that process can cause me quite a bit of anxiety. So please keep that in mind when approaching me about plotting. I'm absolutely willing to discuss ideas and try to work things out with you—I just tend to function better when we leave room for the characters and their chemistry to take over.
This blog may contain potentially triggering or sensitive material. My character has experienced traumatic situations, and as a result, I intend to explore themes involving trauma, mental health, difficult experiences, and other subjects that may be uncomfortable for some people. I will do my best to tag potentially triggering content appropriately. That said, I'm human and I may occasionally miss something. If there is something I've written that you need tagged, please let me know. I would much rather have someone tell me so I can correct it than have them quietly become uncomfortable. I want the people who write with me to feel safe and comfortable here.
I am multiship. However, no two ships will take place simultaneously unless that has been discussed and agreed upon with all muns involved. I don't want anyone feeling like they've been unknowingly placed into a situation they didn't agree to. I genuinely enjoy discussing ships, dynamics, chemistry, and possibilities with people, so please feel free to talk to me about them! You will see a variety of relationships and dynamics on this blog. If that isn't something you're comfortable with, that's completely okay. You're welcome to unfollow or step away from my blog without explanation.
I do not police my mutuals. There are people I have personally had negative experiences with, and because of those experiences, I have chosen not to interact with them. That is my decision. If you choose to interact with someone I don't, that's entirely your choice. If someone treats you in a way that mirrors how they treated me, I will absolutely let you make your own decisions regarding that situation. If you ask me about my personal experience, I will explain my side honestly. Beyond that, who you choose to write with is your business. Nobody gets to dictate your mutuals, and I won't dictate mine. That said, I reserve the right to remove myself from situations involving unnecessary drama. If I feel that you're bringing drama directly to me or my space, I may block or soft-block you.
I will not participate in or tolerate OOC drama, callout posts, public arguments, or similar behavior. I have enough stress in my life without adding unnecessary conflict to my hobby. As mentioned above, I have health issues that can be significantly affected by stress. Because of that, if drama begins involving me, I may step away or soft-block someone temporarily rather than engaging with it. Please remember that there is a real person behind every account. We're all human. We make mistakes. We say things we regret, especially when we're angry or upset. We're adults. Let's act like it. If something can be resolved privately and respectfully, I would much rather do that than turn it into a public spectacle.
I want to reiterate this because I know plotting is important to many writers: I am absolutely willing to plot. I'm simply not always capable of doing extensive, detailed plotting. My preference is generally to go with the flow and let our characters' interactions develop naturally. If you love planning out an entire storyline beforehand, that's completely okay! Just understand that my health can make that process difficult for me. Sometimes I simply don't have the energy, focus, or mental capacity for lengthy plotting conversations. That doesn't mean I'm uninterested in your idea. It may simply mean I need to take things slowly or approach the interaction in a more organic way. Please don't take my limited capacity for plotting as a lack of interest in you or your character.
If something I've written bothers you, makes you uncomfortable, or you feel I've crossed a boundary, please come talk to me privately before assuming intent. My DMs are open, and I am always willing to listen and discuss things respectfully. If, after that conversation, you decide that I'm not someone you want to write with, that's okay too. You are never obligated to stay somewhere that makes you uncomfortable. If you need to unfollow me to take care of yourself, I completely understand. The same goes for me. Sometimes stepping away is simply the healthiest option for everyone involved.
My Discord is available to people I have become close with and comfortable sharing it with. Please don't take it personally if I don't immediately offer it to you. I have to be mindful of my health, energy, and personal boundaries. My Tumblr DMs are always open, however, and you're welcome to reach out to me there. At the end of the day, I'm here because I love writing, creating stories, developing characters, and meeting people who enjoy those things too. I want this to be a place where we can have fun without unnecessary pressure. Respect my boundaries, communicate with me, and I'll do my best to extend that same respect to you.
