Forgotten Souls

Sadness is nothing new to me. It becomes a routine, a ritual. But you are so loved, you are so loved. It’s an emptiness I can’t describe. A hollowness that persists no matter how much of me is filled.  Why aren’t you happy? Why aren’t you happy? I start to hate all religions. I burn all altars, destroy anything that resembles forgiveness, salvation. After all, what kind of cruel god would let  a pain like this exist?

“Do not allow yourself to be imprisoned by any affection. Keep your solitude. The day, if it ever comes, when you are given true affection, there will be no opposition between interior solitude and friendship, quite the reverse. It is even by this infallible sigh that you will recognize it.”

Whatever you decide, don’t stay because you are afraid of change, saying goodbye, or ending up alone. There is nothing more harmful to your heart and soul than sharing them with someone not meant for you.

On herself she had no mercy.

You must love her because many have tried and failed. And she wants to know that she is worthy to be loved, that she is worthy to be kept.

If we wait until we are ready we will be waiting for the rest of our lives.
