something that i've observed about myself is that when I first got out of my really awful and consistent "I hate myself and the world" phase I would look back at that and think "wow I was being so ungrateful and unecessarily pessimistic! glad I'm not like that anymore because now I'm totes joypilled" but that mindset wasn't good either because it kinda bled into how I viewed people that are like that as well, like "that person shouldn't be such a negative nancy and be more appreciative of their surroundings" even if it isn't the appropriate thing to think of them. so, in conclusion, I feel like I should just be kinder and more openminded to myself (including my past selves) so that I can be kind to people that resemble those parts of me. If that makes sense ^_^
