So I just started my last quarter of undergrad a few days ago and I’m finding it so weird to think that in a few weeks I’ll be in a cap & gown. I was a little worried about the postgrad life, but lately the universe has been on my side. If you know me on a personal level, you know that UCSD has really tested me and brought me to my lowest BUT ya girl made her come back.

Here I am having to turn down opportunities because there’s too many. I’m forreal blessed to have this problem. How many people do you know say they have to consider turning down opportunities because they don’t have enough room in their schedule?! I had to turn down an internship. I just started interning with a private physical therapy clinic, going to start an aide position next with a non-profit health care clinic (for low-income individual. sidenote: this is a big one for me bc I want to help low-income folks in Stockton in the future & the volunteer coordinator said I could have a job with them when I graduate ^-^ ), and I have an interview for a paid position in a pt center on Monday. Even if I don’t get the job on Monday, I’m thankful I was even considered. I’m just so fucking proud of myself with how far I’ve gotten in the past few years and I’m so excited for what’s to come.

I was literally kicked out of college my Sophomore year and I used to be so ashamed of it, but it was a learning process [a very stressful one, but one nonetheless]. Without it, I wouldn’t have forced myself to figure out what the hell I want and it made me work my ass off to stay competitive; in the last three years, I’ve pretty much had straight A’s. Now, it doesn’t bother me as much to say I was kicked out because it’s definitely shaped me up and I’m a way better student/person because of it.
