My Version of âWho is the Doctorâs Favouriteâ
(This Masterpost is a bit outdated and going to be revamped and overhauled soon. But the basics of the contest are still here)
Hi guys!! So I wanted to try my own version of the Doctorâs fav tournament. I am riffing off the original in that the companions I will be using are the ones who already advanced there. But what I want to try is something unique. Rather than voting on the companion directly, I will have people submit arguments/propaganda and the strength of those arguments will be what is voted on. Scale of 0-10. Winner will be the one with the most points. TARDIS will also be excluded. I am hoping this gets rid of some of the personal bias and lack of knowledge of classic who companion issues.
There are now two stages of competition. Click HERE for that update.
For the purposes of my contest, I chose the companions from the earlier rounds of the original contest who lost but also had the most arguments in their favor. And also Jamie and Charley since they were strong contestants that lost due to being against the TARDIS. So the complete list will be:
Amy Pond: Contestant Profile
Fitz Kreiner: Contestant Profile
Clara Oswald: Contestant Profile
Ace Mcshane (lost but had lots of arguments for her too)
Rose Tyler (lost despite lots of arguments in her favor)
Jamie Mcrimmon (lost due to going up against the TARDIS but had substantial arguments in previous rounds)
Charley Pollard (lost due to going up against the TARDIS but had substantial arguments during that round)

You can use my asks or messages to submit propaganda. Every point made will be used only once, even if submitted multiple times. I encourage you to submit anonymously to avoid too much back and forth drama and to encourage voters to be honest and open.
I will run a poll for every argument that is made. Ratings are from 0-10. Ratings for each side will be added up. Winner is the companion with the most points. No back and forth arguments. If you anticipate a counter argument, your rebuttal must be submitted before the polls launch.
As propaganda increases, I will need to stagger the posting of polls. This means it may take 1-3 days for all arguments to be posted.
If one character has more propaganda/arguments than another, itâs because more arguments were submitted for the character. I do make an effort to remind people to submit as much propaganda as they can think of multiple times before a round runs.
If anything is unclear please let me know and Iâll update this post!!
also, please vote honestly! Donât give an argument a zero unless you truly believe it deserves one. I canât prevent all disingenuous voting but I hope this is a more fair tournament than just voting on the companions blindly.

One perk of being the Doctorâs companion is being familiar with musicians of all eras. Letâs see how much we think different companions loved Michael Jackson! Thereâs no way to do an evidence based tournament on this so while Iâm waiting until I have time to dive into my main tournament letâs just go off vibes on this one

Just a couple evidence submissions, if that's okay?
For Rose:When reduced to a double, human lifespan as the metacrisis doctor/"tentoo", the Doctor chose to spend his remaining days with Rose. (I know it's already been stated that, for the purposes of this tournament, the metacrisis IS still the Doctor. But a quick argument anyway for the sake of making this argument: 10 said, "He's me. He's literally me." So I think it's safe to say that anything the metacrisis feels/does, so would the full timelord in his shoes. -As an extension to the above, the metacrisis (1) told Rose he loved her (confirmed offscreen by an executive producer to be what he whispered in her ear), and (2) had a child with her. For Donna: 1) She was able to pull him out of his suicidal state when he was killing the Racnoss.2) while she wasn't technically invited twice, the Doctor enthusiastically accepted her request to come along after her initial refusal.3) she was able to convince him to go back and "Just save someone!" When he was in another dark, angry, depressed state after having to destroy Pompeii.4) even after he had to force her to forget about him, he still cared about her well-being. He visited her wedding while regenerating and gifted her a winning lottery ticket. 5) he calls her special on multiple occasions, and "the most important woman in the whole wide universe"6) he called her mother out on her treatment of Donna. Really, that whole speech to Sylvia in "Journey's End." (But that overlaps a little with my last point). 7) she's never afraid to call him out, and he listens to and accepts correction from her (even if begrudgingly at times). She is able to help him get over his struggles and accept, and recognize his love for, Jenny.
Thanks!! Iâll tag these all new submissions so I can go back and inventory them easily later. Iâll need to kind of reorganize these since youâve got multiple arguments in different points a couple times. But these are all great. Iâll tag you when I have them laid out so you can confirm thatâs what you want.
Winner Announcement: Rose beats Charley for Doctorâs Fav
Congratulations Rose Tyler fans!!! I pretty much knew this would be the result but it took me a while to get final scores put together. Rose Tyler will be going to the finals!!! Which I hope will take place over the summer when Iâm not so busy with Uni.
Rose Current Score: 375.5356
Charley Final Score: 290.9811
Rose Tyler Contestant Profile (including all submissions, polls, and poll scores)
Charley Contestant Profile (including all submissions, polls, and poll scores)
Roseâs score will carry over to the finals. The finals will be about whether or not thereâs enough quality new submissions to change the leaderboard from where it is going to stand when all finalists are chosen.
I do not know who the other finalists will be yet. Ace was the other bracket winner but she is currently too far behind to be a viable contender. So, there will be an Amy vs Clara round and an Ace vs Donna round. There will be up to three finalists.
I am now accepting evidence submissions for all active contestants. Rose, Clara, Amy, Donna, and Ace. Click on their names to see their contestant profiles and whatâs already been submitted. Donna is new to the contest, so literally anything is new. Aceâs hasnât been made yet, but essentially the TV show seems to be covered. She needs EU based submissions. EU is fair game for them all.
Iâd suggest taking the spring to find new material to submit if you are invested in a particular character. I wonât start putting deadlines up until I have time to do more than inventory arguments. So research and submit arguments (preferably anonymously) anytime from now until I start running polls again!!
This is the current MASTERPOST. But itâs a bit outdated for how the tournament has evolved so a new one will be made at the start of summer.
Rose vs Charley Group 7 (final poll of final group!!) | Rose Argument 53
When the Tenth Doctor is about to regenerate, he saves his visit to Rose to be his last. Heâs in an INCREDIBLE amount of pain. But he still lights up when he sees his Rose one more time.

Of course, if you disagree with that hypothetical you're still free to ignore it. The zero is primarily intended for when you feel an argument means nothing about how much the Doctor cares about a person or if your interpretation is completely contradictory.

when the Ninth Doctor hears that Rose really wanted a red bicycle for Christmas one year, but Jackie couldnât get it for her, he obsesses over getting the exact one she wanted. Even going on a whole adventure to get it back when an alien steals it. And then he quietly, without interacting with child Rose, leaves it for her on the Christmas that she wanted to have it. This detail is from the short story âThe Red Bicycleâ in the collection âthe twelve doctors of Christmasâ. And itâs also briefly mentioned in the TV episode âThe Doctor Dancesâ

In the comic âMonstrous Beautyâ Rose is turned into a murderous vampire who tries to kill the Ninth Doctor. After the ordeal when Rose is returned to normal he brought her a little plant as a present. And hereâs the important part of their dialogue:
Rose: Thanks for not giving up on me
The Doctor: Never Gonna Happen

Doctorsâ Favourite Contestant Profile: Rose Tyler
Why was she included?: She was the second top performing human in the traditional tournament. She also had a significant amount of negative bias towards her. In that final poll against Clara, there were valid arguments for both Rose and Clara. But with the amount of negative bias towards Rose over the course of the tournament, itâs hard to tell what the fair result wouldâve been. There were a number of people, even in very early rounds, who were stating that they motivated to get Rose out just to get her out, rather than vote fairly. In the more advanced rounds, there were people tagging or directly asking for people outside of the fandom to vote against Rose.
Bias Profile: Known to be highly popular but not the current personal favorite in this tournament. Sheâs still not low in popularity by any means, but sheâs also the most likely to be hated based on my own poll. So I expect a lot of the negative bias toward her to continue.
Arguments and Scores (Thus Far):
1) The Doctor travelled alone for 100 years after the time war. In all that time he didnât open his hearts to anyone. But he started letting Rose in as soon as he met her. Even asking her twice to travel with him.
(Supplemental detail: she turned him down and he left and then he so wanted her to travel with him that he came back and said "Did I mention, it also travels in time?")
Final Score: 7.973 (poll)
2) A Dalek could tell the Doctor was in love with Rose. The Doctor let that Dalek loose to give Rose a chance at survival. Even though (as described in the novelization of the episode) he risked undermining his entire sacrifice in the time war.
Final Score: 8.0864 (poll)
3) When Rose saved her dad, the Doctor ended up nearly permanently dead trying to find a way to reset the timeline damage in a way that wouldâve let Rose keep him.
Final Score: 8.0769 (poll)
4) In the audio story âSnareâ, After Rose lost her dad, the Doctor decided not just to take her back home, but to stay with her at home until she was ready to travel again. Normally when companions need family time, the Doctor just drops them off. But for Rose stays. He even has a whole monologue about how he can leave eternity behind because sheâs worth it.
Final Score: 8.198 (poll)
5) The Doctor sacrificed an entire regeneration to save Roseâs life, even though (from his perspective) he only had three regenerations left.
Final Score: 7.699 (poll)
6) Rose influenced an entire incarnation of the Doctor. Ten was born out of Nineâs subconscious beliefs about what would make him her ideal partner. David Tennant even confirmed the intent was for him to imprint on her.
Final Score: 8.323 (poll)
7) In the BBC comic from the 2007 Annual, âmirror imageâ the Doctor can instantly tell when a creature duplicated Rose that itâs not the real Rose. The same kind of creature duplicated others and their loved ones couldnât tell. He also caught on to Cassandra possessing her pretty quickly. This is something the Doctor was unable to do with both Amy and Donna when they had imposters duplicating them.
Final Score: 7.878 (poll)
8) In the official BBC book âThe Stone Roseâ the Doctor sculpts a completely perfect statue of Rose almost entirely from memory. He only had 2000s quality phone pictures to help him with her ears.
Final Score: 7.781 (poll)
9) When Rose confronts him about leaving Sarah Jane, the Doctor admits how painful it is to watch companions age and die. But he promises Rose he wonât leave her and that she can spend the rest of her life with him.
Final Score: 7.472 (poll)
10) The Doctor struggles to say âI love you,â partly because the last person he said it to, Charley, was someone he thinks abandoned him. And she made him promise never to say it again unless he meant it . But with Rose, he wants to say it. In the end, heâs ready to say it (confirmed by the producers) but runs out of time. Heâs never said âI love youâ about or to any romantic interest since.
Final Score: 8.124 (poll)
11) In the audio âCold Vengeanceâ itâs confirmed that if Rose were to die, the Doctor would break the laws of time for her. He had to be dragged away from her kicking and screaming. Then, he openly discussed taking the laws of time into his own hands to undo her death if he couldnât get to her before she was killed.
Final Score: 8.144 (poll)
12) In Impossible Planet/Satan Pit, the Doctor thinks heâs lost the TARDIS forever, but heâs still got the energy to be flirting with Rose. And heâs still focused on comforting Rose.
Final Score: 7.103 (poll)
13) When forced to reflect on his own faith, the Doctor essentially affirms Rose as his closest thing to a religion. He reflects on all the so called Gods heâs seen in the universe. And he says with raw honesty, conviction and, determination, âout of all that. Out of that whole pantheon. If I believe in one thing, just one thing, I believe in her [Rose Tyler].â Keep in mind, he just one thing. Not one person. So this is out of every single entity heâs ever met. He puts her ahead of the TARDIS here.
Final Score: 8.0952 (poll)
14) In BBCâs 2007 Doctor Who storybook, in one of the short stories, the Doctor forgets his own identity. But heâs still able to remember Rose. And his inner dialogue specifically mentions that he remembers that sheâs the most important thing to him. And by remembering Rose, he is able to remember himself again. Again, the Doctor once again puts Rose above even the TARDIS.
Final Score: 8.2 (poll)
15) The Doctor goes absolutely berserk anytime Rose is hurt or in danger. One example (although there are many) is from the Idiots lantern:
âThey took her face and just chucked her out and left her in the street. And a result that makes things simple. Very very simple. Do you know why? Because now Detective Inspector Bishop, there is no power on this earth that can stop meâ.
Final Score: 7.0392 (poll)
16) When the Doctor loses Rose, he cries onscreen for the very first time (possibly for the very first time on OR offscreen). Then he burns up an entire sun to say goodbye to her, even though he normally doesnât like to say goodbye.
Final Score: 8.364 (poll)
17) The loss of Rose is the only time where the Doctor goes into an extended period of grief for someone who is alive with all their memories intact. This grief was so extreme that the Doctor was suicidal multiple times.
[caveat: some fans might consider Amy and Rory as a living separation. So it would be appropriate to vote zero if you do. However, others might feel that the Doctor seeing Amy and Roryâs gravestones mean that emotionally that would register more as a death than as separating from living companions. Vote based on whichever you resonate with.]
Final Score: 7.0652 (poll)
18) When the Doctor used the Chameleon Arc and forgot his real identity, Roseâs memory was still so persistent in his subconscious that she was the only companion to persist in his dreams. She also got the biggest drawing in John Smithâs diary. Even bigger than the TARDIS.
Final Score: 7.824 (poll)
19) When the Moment was choosing which form to take that would be the most likely to help the Doctor in the Darkest time of their entire lives, it chose Roseâs face. It chose Roseâs face out of every person the Doctor has ever or will ever meet. And it wasnât the Bad Wolf that chose. The Moment said âI chose this face and form especially for youâ. And then uses the name Rose Tyler. Not just Bad Wolf. This also confirms that can Rose have a strong impact on any incarnation of the Doctor. Not just Nine and Ten since sheâs appearing for the War Doctor.
Final Score: 8.833 (poll) Highest of the tournament so far!
20) When the Eleventh Doctor asked the TARDIS interface for someone he liked, her first instinct was to appear as Rose Tyler.
Final Score: 7.0976 (poll)
21) The Giggle Novelization offers an insight into the Doctorâs inner thoughts when Rose is mentioned as being someone he loves. And the Doctor confirms that even after itâs been billions of years, he still misses Rose. And still believes sheâs the one who saved him from the Time War. Not to mention, Rose is the Doctorâs only romantic interest that gets mentioned as being someone the Doctor loves. The others that get mentioned here were platonic loves of the Doctor.
Final Score: 7.75 (poll)
22) the Doctor couldnât stop holding Roseâs hand from the moment they first met. And since then he was constantly reaching for her hand and constantly hugging her.
Final Score: 6.0943 (poll)
23) The happiness the Doctor felt around Rose, both as Nine and Ten, was palpable. He radiated joy in almost every episode just from being around her.
Final Score: 7.0377 (poll)
24) Even while in a regeneration coma, the Doctor snapped awake as soon as Rose uttered the words âhelp meâ.
Final Score: 7.429 (poll)
25) This is from the Doctor Who Magazine Comic âThe Cruel Seaâ.
The Ninth Doctor is trapped in a reflection by a creature based on reflections. It captures people and then creates duplicates of them. It also looks into their minds. Rose finds the real Doctor who is trapped inside, and heâs took weak to fight back. But he gives Rose his sonic screwdriver. Telling her to use it to disrupt all the reflections the creature is using. She is worried it could kill him. But he tells her he trusts her.
Final Score: 3.6755 (only worth 5) (poll) (zeroes removed: explanation)

The Doctor casually asks Rose to pass the sonic to HIM. Suggesting that he regularly gives her his sonic.
Final Score: 3.3/5 (poll) (zeroes removed: explanation)
28) Hereâs a direct quote from the official Novelization of âThe Christmas Invasionâ. This is after the Doctor regenerated into Ten:
âThe delighted look on Roseâs face told him all he needed to know. The relief this brought was like warm water sluicing through him. The Sycorax hadnât worried him muchânot for a second. However, the possibility that Rose of all peopleâthat Rose, his heart of the TARDIS, might not recognise him, nor accept him⌠He would never have admitted to himself how close to an unbearable thought that was.â
Final Score: 8.0909 (poll)
29) the Doctor didnât just die trying to keep Roseâs dad alive in âFatherâs Dayâ. He also let both him and Rose cross their own time stream to give her a second chance to go to him when he was hit by the car. That alone was a huge risk. The Doctor never does things like that where they deliberately revisit a specific moment twice to try to chance the outcome. Iâm not sure it ever happens again in the show. At least not with the Doctor deliberately doing it. And he did it all for Roseâs emotional well being. She wasnât even in physical danger but thatâs how much he cared about her feelings and her need for closure.
[Caveat: the Doctor crossed his own timeline to save Aceâs life. But so far this is the only known example of the Doctor intentionally crossing their own timeline for someoneâs emotional well being]
Final Score: 7.366 (poll)
30) In âThe Stone Roseâ the Doctor pulls Rose in for a kiss just because heâs happy to see her after no longer being made of stone. Itâs one of the rare Doctor Who kisses that is both initiated by the Doctor and is also a pure expression of affection and not something that serves some kind of practical purpose.
Final Score: 7.209 (poll)
31) The Doctor sees Rose as his best friend almost as soon as he meets her. In a short story from the BBC 2006 Doctor Who annual, the Doctor introduces Rose has his best friend. But sheâs still in her clothes from when they first met. So this story had to have taken place between âRoseâ and âAliens of Londonâ. Most likely happening right after âThe Unquiet Deadâ. One of the other characters even acknowledges that Rose hasnât known the Doctor long. The short story is âDoctor vs. Doctorâ
Final Score: 6.583 (poll)
32) Also in the BBC novel âThe Stone Roseâ, the Tenth Doctor looks straight at one of the original statues of the Roman GODDESS Fortuna and says: âRose is prettier than you.â
Final Score: 7.974 (poll)
33) After he lost Rose, one of the Carrioniteâs (from âThe Shakespeare Codeâ) tried to taunt the Doctor with Roseâs name. he immediately found strength and said âoh big mistake. Because that name keeps me fightingâ.
Final Score: 7.828 (poll)
34) Rose started an entire catch phrase that the Doctor would continue to use right up through their 15th incarnation. She started Timey Wimey. Jo Grant and River said it to the third and fifth Doctors. But it didnât stick when Jo said it in a comic and the Fifth Doctor didnât even remember meeting River. Timey Wimey was started by Rose in the comic âDoctormaniaâ
Rose: I donât know, still getting my head around the Timey Wimey stuff arenât I?
Ninth Doctor: Timey Wimey? Have you heard yourself?
up to that point, the phrase still sounded silly to him. But after he loses Rose, the Tenth Doctor would use it for the first time during season three. Which was when his grief over Rose was the most raw. And the phrase never went away.
[Caveat: The Fifth Doctor chimed in when the Tenth Doctor started to say the phrase in âTime Crashâ. But had never used it before. He wouldâve been familiar with it via Jo, but the Doctor only started using this after Rose said Timey Wimey. If you think this is coincidence, a zero may be appropriate. On the other hand, if it makes sense that the Doctor only using the phrase one regeneration after Rose shows she mostly inspired it, give this some credit.]
Final Score: 5.841 (scoring poll) (validity screen poll)
35) When faced with the Slitheen trying to cause WWIII, the Doctor risks letting them do so just so he can find a way for Rose to be perfectly safe. âI could save the world but lose you.â He only relents when he realizes he canât find a way to keep her perfectly safe.
Final Score: 7.514 (poll)
36) When Rose and Nine encountered the Gelth, there was a moment where they both believed dying and being possessed by the Gelth was inevitable. Nine barely just met Rose. But he looks at her, beams, and says âIâm so glad I met youâ. Heâs at peace with dying and having his body possessed just because heâs met Rose.
Final Score: 7.273 (poll)
37) As soon as Rose expresses her fear the Doctor wonât come back for her, he gives her a TARDIS key. Even though theyâd practically just met. It often takes the Doctor between 10-40 adventures to give someone a key. Rose gets one almost immediately.
[Caveat: I did not have the energy to fully check how long every companion took to get a key. But the TARDIS wiki does have an article for which episode companions get their keys in. And just eyeballing it, it looks like 10-40 adventures for most companions is accurate. It has been for a lot that I went in and checked. So Iâm including it. Rose wasnât the only one to get a key sooner, but having it happen as quick as it did for her seems rare]
Final Score: 6.282 (poll)
38) At the end of the âSatan Pitâ, Ida asks âYou two, who are you?â The Doctor looks at Rose. Smiles. And responds âOh. The Stuff of Legend.â
Final Score: 5.359 (poll) (validation poll results)
39) In the BBC NSA novel âThe Monsters inside,â the Doctor and Rose are both imprisoned separately. Immediately upon being taken into custody, this is all the Doctor can think about. Direct quote from the book featuring his inner dialogue:
It didnât matter what they did to him. He would get her back.
Final Score: 5.941 (poll)
40) An interaction from the BBC NSA âthe Monsterâs insideâ:
The Doctor and Rose are still imprisoned separately. This is the Doctorâs conversation with one of the prison guards:
Ninth Doctor: Oh, well, thatâs you off the hook then. Donât you ever stop to wonder whatâs happening on the rest of these Justice worlds? Whatâs happening to Rose?â
Flowers: Justicia is not run by monsters, Doctor. If anything, the monsters are kept inside. Murderers, rapists, pushers. . .
The Doctor: If anything happens to my friend, Flowers⌠Then Iâll show you a monster.
Final Score: 7.154 (poll)
41) The Doctor and Rose are so in sync, that in the book âThe Monsterâs Insideâ Rose is able to solve extremely complex physics problems by figuring out vague coded hints from the Doctor such as mentions of EastEnders characters and her mumâs telephone number.
REDACTED (failed validation poll)
42) During the first half of the audio "the Sword of the Chevalier" the Doctor is mistaken for a famous singer at a party at large estate in the 1700s. He is summoned to sing and the Doctor hands Rose his personal sonic to go and scan the whole premises for the alien threat while he socializes with the host of the party and prepares to sing for him. He could've refused to sing, but trusted Rose to wander the whole estate with his sonic for a decent period of time instead.
The sonic is both an important tool as well as a major personal comfort object for the Doctor. So, it took a great deal of love and trust for the Doctor to do this. Probably even more than what it takes for them to simply give someone one of their own instead.
Final Score: 6.932 (poll) (zeroes AND ones removed: explanation)
43) (From the Big Finish Audio âInfamy of the Zarossâ)
When Rose asks the Doctor if he was tempted by the game and fortune offered to him in the adventure he says,
âIâve got the TARDIS. Iâve got you. What else does a wandering Time Lord need?â
The Doctor is saying that all he needs in the whole wide universe is the TARDIS and Rose.
Final Score: 7.212 (poll)
44) In the BBC Book âThe Feast of the Drownedâ. Rose manages to break through a powerful hive mind. When another character asked the Doctor how she did it, he gives some possible rational explanations. But he finishes with: âOr maybe just because sheâs Rose.â
Final Score: 5.447 (poll)
45) In the BBC book, âOnly Humanâ, this Doctor is being brainwashed into a state of partial memory loss and utter relaxation and peace by the antagonist. But remembering Rose is enough to break the brainwashing. Hereâs the quote:
âHe shuddered as a series of images flashed through his mind â Rose smiling. Rose taking his hand. Rose in danger.
âWhoah, what was that? There was something else. . . Find Rose.â
A surge of glee possessed him. âEscape and find Rose! Come on!â
He leaped from the settee and grabbed Roseâs coat, tying it round himself as an aide-mĂŠmoire, then jostled Quilley out of the door.â
ďżźFinal Score: 8.292 (poll)
46) In the novel âOnly Humanâ the Doctor comes VERY close to handing over the TARDIS to a villain who is threatening to leave Rose in a dismembered state if he doesnât. Luckily, Rose screams at him to stop and thatâs when he notices the villainâs equipment cabinet. So, he realizes he just needs to get to the equipment to save Rose. And he starts to stall the villain so she canât get the TARDIS.
Final Score: 7.732 (poll)
47) direct quote from the BBC book âNightmare of Black Islandâ featuring the Doctor and Rose.
Bob: What? You think you and your girlfriend are like those two from The X-Files or something?
The Doctor: Yes
He doesnât even try to correct this guy! Heâs perfectly content having Rose be called his girlfriend!
Final Score: 6.972 (poll)
48) this is a direct quote from the book âThe Resurrection Casketâ:
(In regard to a conflict involving multiple people about whether to let a dangerous woman die or let her in and risk her attacking them).
The Doctor: âDo whatever you think best. Youâre not wrong. Youâre never wrong. How could you be?â
Rose, of course, saves the woman. But this shows the absolute trust the Doctor has in Rose. To the point where he occasionally gets to these irrational levels of idealization of her.
Final Score: 8.388 (poll)
49) This one is from the Book âThe Nightmare of Black Islandâ. Hereâs a direct quote from the book. I know itâs small and simple, but strong relationships are built by these tender moments:
âRose was curled up on the battered control room chair, the Doctorâs long brown coat draped over her like a blanket. She was fast asleep, her breathing slow and measured, keeping pace with the rotor.
The Doctor peered round the console at her, smilingâ.
Final Score: 6.523 (poll)
50) The Doctorâs feelings for Rose have stood the test of both time and regenerations. Both Nine and Ten were equally entirely besotted by her. We get small Easter eggs that Eleven quietly feels the same. The Moment chose her face for the War Doctor. And then the Fourteenth Doctor confirms that billions of years later he still misses her.
Final Score: 4.0377 (poll)
51) In the comic âMonstrous Beautyâ Rose is turned into a murderous vampire who tries to kill the Ninth Doctor. After the ordeal when Rose is returned to normal he brought her a little plant as a present. And hereâs the important part of their dialogue:
Rose: Thanks for not giving up on me
The Doctor: Never Gonna Happen
Final Score: 7.317 (poll)
52) when the Ninth Doctor hears that Rose really wanted a red bicycle for Christmas one year, but Jackie couldnât get it for her, he obsesses over getting the exact one she wanted. And itâs also briefly mentioned in the TV episode âThe Doctor Dancesâ.
Final Score: 8.118 (poll)
53) When the Tenth Doctor is about to regenerate, he saves his visit to Rose to be his last. Heâs in an INCREDIBLE amount of pain. But he still lights up when he sees his Rose one more time.
The Doctorâs feelings for Rose have stood the test of both time and regenerations. Both Nine and Ten were equally entirely besotted by her. We get small Easter eggs that Eleven quietly feels the same. The Moment chose her face for the War Doctor. And then the Fourteenth Doctor confirms that billions of years later he still misses her

Only worth 5 as this rehashes previous things. But itâs a new framing and so I will allow it to be worth something.
MASTERPOST
Rules:
1. The rest of the current polls can be found in the tag: rose vs charley group 7
2. No discourse on these kinds of polls. Reblogs and comments should be empty or supportive of whichever arguments you like best. If you have a concern related to an opposing interpretation or missing context, you may send an anonymous ask. So far l've added caveats every time l have received these. Breaking this rule makes you subject to being blocked for the duration of the tournament.
3. I can't enforce this. But zeroes should be used sparingly. The zero is not meant for voters to sabotage the side they are against. And it is not meant for when an argument is simply not that unique. The reason for this is that hypothetically, a companion with 1,000 small gestures is more favoured than one who gets only one grand gesture. Of course, if you disagree with that hypothetical you're still free to ignore it. The zero is primarily intended for when you feel an argument means nothing about how much the Doctor cares about a person or if your interpretation is completely contradictory.
This blog isnât dead. And if you were someone who submitted arguments you did NOT waste your time. I just waver week to week on the amount of left over executive function I have to work on it. But I genuinely enjoy and am passionate about it and I am still invested. Doctorâs fav tournament will be completed. Just⌠slowly. Hope thatâs alright. Final results might not come for months. The tournament format is also new and comes with growing pains that take time to work through as well as organization and communication challenges to make sure everyone knows how itâs been evolving. And itâs important to me that this first tournament be as fair and accurate as future ones that happen after Iâve got more of a routine down.
Thanks so much to all of you that follow me! This tournament is just the beginning of what I hope to be a series.
If youâre new and confused here is the current tournament Masterpost. Iâve got a new updated one in drafts but this one still explains everything.

First of all I am aware that I am much better at adding rounds and planning ideas for my contest than executing them! BUT I saw a platonic soulmate poll for who that is for the Doctor and Donna won. Ace while she did well early in the contest before it gained many followers is STRUGGLING. Should we do an Ace vs. Donna round alongside the upcoming Clara vs Amy? I am hoping the direct competition will drive up submissions for both of them so we can get a true score for each of them. Donna didnât make my original cut because no one was making rational arguments for her in the original contest but the landslide win in that other poll tells me thereâs unexplored stuff.
Should we let Donna in?

In light of Amy Pond being the most disadvantaged âDoctorâs Favâ contestant in terms of EU knowledge, I will be posting a regular (daily was a lie) resource to consume media of her before I launch Amy vs Clara. Please submit any arguments for her you might see. Any special moments of her relationship with the Doctor. I might also help on these if I find time.
(You may still submit arguments for Clara as well. But I wonât be posting resources for her right now)
