so caine is the original program. right? that sequence at the start of ep 9 with the dots seems to indicate that he was putting out wonky results and got locked up. then he broke out somehow, swallowed another AI model, and that only made him even more discombobulated.

question then becomes, who or what is that separate AI model? is it Bubble? is it Able? can whatever it is be brought back? would the circus members even WANT it to be brought back?

the entire map is crumbling. what happens as it continues to deteriorate? do the circus members end up trapped in the void? or worse? what about the cellar, how is it holding up after this? are the previous abstractions going to get out?

kinger said any of them could conjure something up if they really wanted to. with enough focus and practice, any of them could do it. is that what episode 9 is gonna focus on? learning to rebuild a world crumbling after caine's death?

what IS bubble? a seperate AI? a manifestation of caine's 'intrusive thoughts' so to speak? up until now bubble has been mostly used for comedic relief, with some fourth wall jokes here and there. i cant think of a time where bubble's been this explicitly malicious towards caine. if bubble is some manifestation of that separate AI, it might make sense. but assuming bubble isn't that, what the hell is he?
