RCHP fans who discard One Hot Minute because it does not have Frusciante on guitar but praise their new albums are what I like to call “fuckheads”.
“I call Girlschool the queens of NWOBHM.”
Why aren’t we talking about this??!!
this is important!
We know why.
It doesn’t fit the narrative..
*slow clap it the fuck out* Â

Edward Scissorhands (1990)
Honestly, pro-gun people are not wrong when they say "don't blame the gun". It is not guns that are killing people. It is easy access to guns and American gun culture that is killing people. Look at some gun ads. People use sex appeal to sell guns, they use humor, there are huge gun conventions and marketing campaigns to aim gun appeal to children. Guns are marketed like any other toy. The problem is guns are not toys, guns are a tool for self-defence. American gun culture keeps blurring the line between toy and tool and that is what allows for this mismash of improper gun regulations in some states. When I was 14 I bought this big knife on amazon, I thought it was cool and played with it all the time. My dad caught me one day and took it away from me saying that it was not a toy and that I was being childish. Was I mad? Hell yeah I was! It was a big knife! It was shiny, it was sharp, I loved showing it off and getting the "oh that is sick" and "I don't wanna mess with anyone with one of those" comments. But, in the end my dad was right, I could have seriously hurt myself or one of my friends with it by accident because I was acting like a ignorant child with a new toy and not a responcible adult with a tool. Now I understand that a knife holds little to no comparison in killing power to a gun but it is the same principle. Until Americans can put their childish obsession with guns and looking cool and like a badass with them aside and fully grasp the power of what person with bad intent can do with a gun and begin to see them as a tool and only a tool we need better regulation of guns to keep them out of the hands of people with intent to harm others and immature idiots. You can't look at a country like Switzerland where there is mandatory military service for all able-bodied men once they reach 18 and voluntarily military service for women and say "well if they all have guns and not these mass shootings then why can't we?", They are all highly trained on how to properly use a firearm. That is not the case here. In some states literally anyone can obtain a licence and purchase a gun, regardless of their criminal record and mental health background. You cannot pride yourself on being a responsible gun owner and fight regulations to keep guns out of the hands of the wrong people just because you yourself have never done anything stupid with your gun. You are an individual. Society behaves very differently than an individual and you need to look at these things from the point of view of a society. You may not go shoot a place up but how do you know others won't? You know how? Because others already have, and it happens every day.

How did people first figure out that it was cicadas that make this noise? I could see that taking a long time. Were there just like a thousand years where people were like “yeah, the trees are screaming. They do that in the summer.”

one of the most terrifying things, something that cishet people just don’t get, is that i could literally walk out my front door right now, mention being lgbtq, and immediately get shot, if i just say it in front of the wrong person.Â
this is something i think about almost every time im in a room full of people i don’t know. every single time. i don’t know who in a room full of people wants me dead, but that the likelihood of there being at least one person is extremely high.Â
straight people want to know why they don’t need straight pride? this is why. you don’t need to be proud of surviving despite being straight.Â
pride isnt celebrating being lgbtq just for the sake of it. its celebrating survival despite it. and fuck any cishet person who argues that there should be straight pride, because this is basically what you’re asking for.Â
The preveiws on amazon sounded promicing.
