Ahhh spider ahhh kija

Ninurta is thankful to be off that blasted ship, hand to chest is done as he takes a deep breath and watches as how little things seem to amaze Kija. From their separate worlds, they are talented in different things and their knowledge serves for different purposes. So, when being around merchants that are shaped in different forms only reminds Ninurta of home more or less, a smile shows on his features as he sees that Kija has made his way towards one of the stands.

Following after him with his hands behind his back, “Ahh, you could wait for me at least!” He’s only playing around as he scans the items of the counter that can be sold to them. A small black cat stands on it’s hind legs, cute little shirt on it’s person and a bow is done the next.

“Nyahahaha! Have you came to bask at the shiny objects that I have found furraaaaar and wide?”

Blinking, the ice dragon looks towards Kija, trying to figure out something. “These are all particularly shiny artifacts, to the liquids to the items. Is there anyway that you could sell this male beside me as well?” The statement is probabaly making Kija want to turn his head and look at the younger dragon in a confused manner but as he keeps on, “He keeps such a sparkle in his eyes, I have no idea how he still roams freely..”

The island they landed on surely is incredibly splendid. This is actually the first time Kija’s been on an island actually! He’s most certainly excited to find out what wonders and surprises awaits him- especially if, like it’s implied, this place is much more different than the ‘main land’.

He’s taken aback by the talking cat. With a small gasp, he even utters something along the lines of ‘how is this possible?!’, but soon falls silent when Ninurta begins to speak [unfazed too, which amazes Kija].

The white dragon does look at the other with a confused look on his face. Eyebrow raised, which brings up the question, “What do you mean, exactly?”

One day he’ll learn what Ninurta speaks about. One day! He’s still determined to learn a lot about where Ninurta came from, but he didn’t want to prod too much.

Although, true enough, the sparkle in Kija’s eyes never leaves. Intrigued by every new smell, cart, items for sale, and the scenery, he nods, “There’s just so much to see! This island sure is impressive, is it not? It’s my first time on such a thing too…” He didn’t get out too much until he left the Hakuryuu Village, obviously. Tapping his chin thoughtfully he looks at all the items the furry friend is selling.

“What are these bottles of anyway? Are they drinks? Medicine? They’re so many colours, they must all have a unique purpose.” He mentions, and then he turns to Ninurta, “All these items are very intriguing, and fascinating! As if they came from many places… Are we in the presence of a collector, perhaps?” A pause, “Can we even buy any of this… If I may ask…”

"Twenty years.. To stay in one place. I wonder, some people may wish for that. But alas, if you spent such a long time there I’m happy to spend time with you in such a different place." Then a question comes to him, “Everyone in that one placed loved you, so I know it shouldn’t have truly felt lonely there.” Then it couldn’t be lonely at all even if he saw the same faces, to be cared for must be nice when it’s just not one person, and to spend their lives yearning to be noticed by one person and still not manage to grasp that.

One could tell who the lucky one is between them.

He blinks once he hears that the other is saying something such as that, that they’re celebrating each other. In the beginning, he didn’t know what they could celebrate but even Kija is full of surprises. "To say such a thing, would you be willingly happy enough to celebrate ‘us’, I know some people aren’t truly happy with the arrangements." Alas, he uses his free hand to cup the male’s chin as he stares at him, looking for something, anything. Maybe the faintest twitch but all he sees is the light color coming to his pale cheeks, “Could you really celebrate having happiness with me.. Ah, I truly don’t want to disappoint you.” Like he’s done everyone else.

Releasing him, he leans back once again, taking another drink from his own cup as he allows his voice to fall into silence as the other gazes at the bottles around them. The bartender does notice Kija’s gaze, locks eyes with Ninurta’s own and she has just the idea. Grabbing a few bottles, she walks over to Kija and plces about four before him. Mentioning the brand and how well they’d go with anything.

"Here yoooouuuu go〜♡. Mascoto, Merlot, Zinfandel and Riesling all in that order. I see you have good eyes, kiddo! I do too ♡. So we don’t even have to speak, you two, your eyes speak to me and I come here to make sure you both enjoy yourselves. Sad talk? Naaaaah, we need none of that. You both’a couple, right, hell yeah. No more of this trouble talk, sounds like my boy here has this whole sad complex and you were locked up? Whoo. Go figure! Listen, I had a friend who complained over a sword that couldn’t get fixed which was centuries ago but you know.. when will she get with the times, like she lived back then, like she’s the great blacksmith that can fix all swords, who does she think she is! Pfffbfbbft. What I’m trying to say is enjoy noow, get loose. Live a little, love life? Love live. ♡ So Mr. Mullet-Man, I saw you eyeing the good brands, pick one spice up your life. Teehee ♡." 

“You’re STILL going on about that? It’s not as bad when I was spoiled for this game about the Shinsengumi— no, don’t look at me like that, and remember? REMEMBER when that one person didn’t tag their spoilers about Okita having tuberculosis?! Ugh… I’m tired of this disrespect.” The male, shaking his head, turns his attention to the counter and begins to clean it with a rag.

Well, anyway, Kija looks at Ninurta and shakes his head, “Well… I doubt that, actually…” Usually people usually notice the skin, or the eyes first. The hair is a first! Although, what a weird way to put it, really.

"I’m just like everyone else, there’s no need to be astounded by me." It’s the truth, as much as he wishes he could be like everyone else, it didn’t seem like it was going to happen. Knowledge is something that everyone craves for and perhaps, he wishes he didn’t know how much he knew now. What would he have to do to forget some thing, he isn’t lucky enough for that, perhaps. It would be rude if he didn’t take a sip along with it, though he does take his time. "I deserve no credit."

He has yet to pick up his own glass, “Mother would normally ask for things such as this when..” He pauses, what can he call him? Ninurta, a traitorous son.. could he even call the Regis, ‘father’? "When.. there were times for celebrations, whenever someone important to her came home. As her son, she’d make sure I appeared as well." Those times were almost every day, where she would call for the chefs and waitresses to fix food for the Regis.

He deserves a meal for coming home after all his endeavors. "I’m sure you’ve had interesting drinks yourself, don’t make me feel as if I’ve had such amazing things."

Laughing softly, he finally raises his glass and bumps it lightly against the male’s own, "Hm, couldn’t wait for the toast could you? No matter, I only jest." This is where he takes a taste of the Chardonnay, it’s the same as he remembers. He doesn’t seem like he’s in such a hurry to drink it all down, a Prince needed patience and drink when there’s times he needs to answer certain things but he does find it funny how the other continues to take tastes over and over again as he drinks.

“So, not really, I didn't have too much… For the 20 years of my life I was stuck in the same village, basically.” He lets out a nervous laughter, usually he wouldn’t admit to this because most people would just look down on him for not being so knowledgeable, “We were pretty solitary. Nothing changed… Though, I didn’t hate it, I suppose? For the most part, actually.” Despite the fact he lived those twenty years longing for his master to show up.

He stiffens, at Ninurta’s teasing comment, he feels the embarrassed tint of pink rising to the skin of his cheeks, “A…Ah, my mistake. I guess I was too intrigued.” He says, “So that means we are celebrating then? Are we celebrating each other too, I presume?” Like that other couple they saw earlier! Or… Is he saying too much?

“… Well…” Read faces! That’s what he said earlier right, “You’re enjoying yourself, yes? As new as this is, I know I am. At least we can enjoy each other’s presence, even if we’re not celebrating anything in particular.”

Now that he mentions it, though, he does notice all the bottles lined up behind the bar. Different shapes, and colours of bottles. The liquid inside also varied in colour as well!

"Do you ever read the mood or look into one’s eyes? It tells a lot on how they feel. But by the girl’s actions, she looks happy but in her eyes, I guess she’s thankful? For what, maybe just to be by his side. But I’m just making guesses." That’s all, it’s not like he knows as he looks forward to a young female who’s cleaning one of the glass cups with a cloth.

"Would you wish for me to order for you?" He pauses as this is natural for him, “Excuse me,” as the bartender looks towards him with a smile and her hand holding out a glass for him. "Two glasses of chardonnay if you don’t mind. Three white grapes each, please." His own hand removes the glass from her grasp and holds her hand, dropping one of the wrapped turtles in her hand. "Please treat yourself as you treat us." His own smile staying upon his features as the female throws a wink towards him to go and prepare their drinks, of course he returns it!

"I don’t mind ordering simple things for us— you in general, perhaps." He chuckles softly, “I’ve done it many times in my life, it’s almost guaranteed where I live during parties to indulge in various wines and beverages.” Stating this, he enjoys the light music that’s been played, there’s no words but just a symphony for them to listen to. Words don’t need to express everything.

Besides, Actions speak.. louder than words.

He looks back at Ninurta, after he’s done ordering and what-not, how smooth he is with his words and actions! Kija is certainly impressed, he can only reply with, “You’re amazing, Ninurta.” And smiles at the male, “Your endless amount of knowledge never ceases to astound me.”

He must have quite extravagant parties. Especially compared to Kija’s own. They were more traditional, if that’s a way to explain it. Never once where he truly indulged in several different beverages in the same party, usually just stuck to one. Kija really wonders what kind of place did Ninurta come from, but he doesn’t seem to like talking about it. Why? Well, maybe he can try to ask later, but he needs to make sure he doesn’t make the other dragon too uncomfortable.

Well.

That shouldn’t be his priority right now. They were celebrating, right? They both should enjoy this moment.

Instinctively, being presented the grapes, he leans forward a bit to take a bite of at least two of them and chews them slowly. Contemplating the flavours, he nods. Finishing that mouthful he speaks again, “It’s delicious.”

It’s common sense that grapes and wine go well together, however… It’s finally time to test this chardonnay. Sounded rather fancy, huh? Not a name he’s heard where he’s from, so he’s definitely intrigued. He picks up the wine glass with both his hands (usually he would only use his right hand if the cup was wooden, or something strong- with glass he had to be careful!), and finally takes a tiny sip of the wine.

Hmm… Contemplating… Nods…

“Oh! This is rather enjoyable too.” He comments, with that he decides to take one more sip to get a better taste than before. It had a very fruity smell, and flavor- completely different from the kinds of drinks he had before. It’s a nice change he has to admit!

As wrong as it is, Ninurta has never been fulfilled by that of touch, he’s sure he recalls the many times where a hand would raise to dismiss him every time. He wouldn’t even look at him as if he existed. "I’m.. jealous, slightly." He speaks, laughing softly at how he may sound. Though, his words of what’s the point? The point..

To say such a thing, it takes him aback. “W..” He pauses, not wanting to continue. "What’s the point?" But he has to, he needs the other to know. "It’s because of you, you’re the point." This is lightly said because he doesn’t want to argue with him, these are his choices, and they truly don’t know much about each other. Well, he’s learning but Ninurta is nothing but a walking mystery since he doesn’t speak about himself that much.

But his kind words, as if he’s looking out, hopefully that says enough that he’s kind himself. "But.. I doubt you see what the point for what it truly is, I do hope one day you’ll understand.." He mutters this to himself as he shakes his head. The flower stays in his locks and he doesn’t move it at all, letting it be some color to his bleak and negativity. Eyes gazing towards the couple they saw not too long ago,

He only blinks at Ninurta, slightly confused at his words. He seemed to have muttered something, but his voice was low, not to mention the sound of the music did make the room a tad bit noisy.

“So it’s for celebration too?” He repeats, following Ninurta to the bar, he sits down next to him- beginning to ponder what they could possibly have, “It doesn’t look like what we had last time… Although, it does look rather delicious.” He sort of remembered having a few drinks when they celebrated with the Awa pirates. It was quite a while ago… Kija doesn’t remember that much because he felt like he slept through most of it?

“Hm… Do we have anything to celebrate…?” He rubs his chin thoughtfully, “This entire event seems like a celebration itself, I don’t see the harm.” With a small smile, he looks towards Ninurta, hoping that kind of reasoning is quite alright.

It’s amazing how much hair he has and to braid it back is indeed ideal, there’s silence between them at first and his actions are sloppily done since his hair is still wet. He gives up mid way, a short braid at the top why the rest is just allowed to be free strands. Before, when the male mentioned his horns, maybe if Ninurta felt proud enough he would have accepted such a thing but he says nothing on the male’s comment.

Not even if there’s a part of him wondered if that was true, it could just be called generosity. To learn about him, he denies the request mentally and just shakes his head. There’s no way he could speak about it but his mind is too filled with the other’s life that he’s taken up. To serve, to be of use because everyone lost their chance. Even with his Father? The subject is painful in which he doesn’t want to mention anything but as long as it isn’t about him.

"If that’s true." He says, “If you’re telling me that Kija, if that’s true. From personal experience.” There’s another guaranteed silence as he doesn’t know if this is right to say. "Don’t just think of all those missed chances.. and your father, though they waited and couldn’t have the satisfaction like you, please remember.. that you, yourself must also be satisfied. To reassure the lives that were lost, I’m sorry to hear of your father.. I believe those scars must come with the power that I saw on your back."

He raises his hand and wants to place it on the other’s own, but he can’t be bothered at all as they continue to walk. "But I’m sure.. your father would want you to be happy for yourself so while making them happy because of this… power. .. please don’t live to regret it. Don’t die with just their satisfaction and none of your own.. though it hurts to know that.." Life is that unfair, it doesn’t matter for the future if he cannot meet it’s requirements. “It seems unavoidable, what you said.” Coming along double doors, he pushes them open and lets Kija walk through first,

”..So..” He can’t say for him to die happy or.. the thought of how he could be young and a child if born could snatch that away from him. "Aaa.." What hurts more, to have your life stripped away or to be a fake and still have something of a life? "I .. hope you get to live for a very long time, Kija. I don’t want your life just taken from you since you have so much to experience.. The people before you.. as sad as their life was— Please, don’t take offence but don’t overwork yourself for them please.. find happiness for yourself." As he says this, he holds the other’s hand before releasing it just as fast.

“It’s his passion of wanting to serve the king, so I’ll gladly live on with it. There’s nothing to be gloomy about, what’s the point?” He says, “So there’s nothing to worry about. I want to live on for him, and everything else. But your words are appreciated.”

“So, thank you.” With that said, he decides to not speak any more about it. He just only gives the other dragon a reassuring smile.

He’s satisfied well enough by doing what he must do. He never regretted any choice he made, or accepting everything from the previous centuries. He’s well aware that no matter what Ninurta says, or anyone else says, his decisions and words will not change.

At the sight of the room, Kija’s mouth opens to make an ‘O’ shape. It seemed so tranquil and beautiful. The sound of the music, and the hushed talking, really made an excellent atmosphere. The lights were dimmed, except for a brighter spotlight on the pianist that is playing in the center of the room.

He scans the room completely, and notices the couple from before (that hit him in the head with a ball) are opening a champagne bottle. However, the white haired male, who carried the bottle in his palm- a knife in the other, tries to hit the top of it with that knife but ultimately fails.

The bottle erupts all over the male’s shirt, and Kija almost jumps. Is he okay?!

Though, Kija is right, Ninurta knows nothing of where he comes from, “All that I could be able to use in relation would be my horns, they’re a symbol of my family of the Noah Clan.” He points to the two that don above his ears, "I even gain a power, a blessed ability, that I could protect people with. Only those with a strong affinity can use it, so it’s something like your power of a dragon. To make one’s own decisions on how to use it." Though, “Perhaps it’s also my burden. No joy comes from them either, when one believed they could be proud there is sadness within it as well. Though, that’s life.”

Upon the male’s words of wanting to protect him with that duty, his duty, a duty that originated from a long time ago. That has nothing to do with them, he doesn’t say anything at all since he’s already made his choice. Though even in silence, he finally speaks up with a request.

 ”Hold that thought, will you?” Hold it, forever. Perhaps? It’s at this moment, he slips into the changing room, a sigh leaving from his lips since he really doesn’t know what to tell the other when it comes to thinks like this? Nor is his life something he wishes to press on. Of course he does dry off his nice bod, considering, he has nice dips!! Have to dry himself off before changing into his clothes. A deep exhale and he can see his breath, is he just a little confused, his powers normally did this anyway when certain things happen. Perhaps, speaking about himself brought him to regret.

First, he pauses, trying to think how he should word it, “That’s relatively impossible… Whenever a new dragon is born, the previous one loses their power, and ultimately their life as well. So implying such a thing… …” Of course, he didn’t sound particularly sad at all when he said this, it’s normal of the dragons, “Either way, I finally got the chance to serve my king, and I definitely will. I have to put those spirits of the previous dragons to rest somehow- right? Especially since the one before me was my father.”

He’s not only carrying all the other centuries’ worth of Hakuryuus within this hand, but he’s also carrying his father’s greatest wish to serve the king on his back.

“Hm? The Noah Clan?” He questions, “Is that your village? I did notice that though, those horns are unlike any others. They’re certainly beautiful. I’d like to learn more about it someday if that’s alright. You don’t have to say everything right now—” No joy? What Ninurta says definitely reminds him of what Jae-ha would say when he first found him at the Awa port. He used to be someone who had no interest in following the fate of the blood he possesses, and following their king. Now, at that time, it completely baffled Kija, however… Now, in a sense, he can see what Ninurta is trying to say. Not everyone is like Kija, who was grown up in a nurturing environment and taught that his power is divine, and sacred, used to serve King Hiryuu with.

“Excuse me then…”

They both diverge into separate changing rooms. Kija quickly dries all that excess water off with a new towel, and begins to put on his clothes. The thought of Ninurta thinking his power as ‘burden’ still worries Kija. He’s carried his own burdens himself, but he’s learned to carry them for the better- did Ninurta regret something? He wonders… Though, he didn’t want to pry too much and make him uncomfortable.

He comes back out, also Ninurta. Ninurta tells him to forget about everything, and Kija tilts his head to the side.

He grasps the other’s hand, sure that his own grip is light and enough to the point that his hand could slip away he if didn’t want Ninurta touching him anymore. Connection is only given for a short bit as he helps the other up, hearing of such genuine words. Things he’s heard other people speak about, there’s always important people in other’s lives, right? Background as to why and he does keep his attention on what the male says.

A hand that holds that much, a thousand years of just waiting? Had it really taken that long? People dying and waiting until they could serve a king? Where had that king been for years? For that long? Had that king abandoned them? Given up.. just allowed them to be on their own? Rejected them.. Could it be just that? "Why did that king not come during those years.." Where were they? Knowing there’s a pack of four, to know they had all waited through passing years. Given nothing. For some reason, it’s really saddening.

"Why did it take such a long time for you to be noticed?"

He blinks as he stares at the other, a mutter under his breath in which he doesn’t catch since he’s curious for his question to be answered. But it continues and he nods to what the other wants, "To achieve such a thing must be possible if you believe just that." Stating that, "I think.. it’d be best if you kept that attitude for the children, to protect and watch over them. I thank you for your help but I don’t believe I’ll need that power to watch over me."

Perhaps, if it’s just him.. It would have been a different story. "When your Master returns, you’ll be leaving back with them correct..? If we can all ever go back home? Sounds like a grand chance to have what you want to be plausible. I’m sure you’re a dragon that your Master won’t be disappointed of. Your power will be very helpful, I’m sure it has been since you’re hunting for them."

“Waiting for so long, we become restless. The thought of bearing centuries worth of spirits of my ancestors with the same blood because they couldn’t serve their master is quite a thought, but if I can serve my master, and allow them to rest—“ he nods, “It’s definitely a great honour, much more than just continuing the bloodline, right?”

Actually…

“No… I know well enough that you wouldn’t fully understand since we’re from different places.” He adds, it’s still odd seeing other dragons that aren’t like Kija, but that’s what happens when other worlds collide, “… I admit, the dragon’s blood within me practically boils to return, but I have yet to know if it’s possible. Hmm… I don’t think it’d feel right if I chose who to protect- certainly, for master is a given… But it would still be a great honour to continue my duty for the entire family, which still includes you. If that’s alright.”

He’s certainly proud, and embraces, the title of the Hakuryuu. Even if Ninurta refuses… Well, it doesn’t feel right, but could he respect that wish? Supposedly, he can try. He only agreed to become his master’s dragon, and only her’s— even so, he can still simply protects the ones that are important!

He’s not really sure how to put it. He technically has a family now, shouldn’t he protect them? Why would Ninurta refuse…? It can’t be pride, can it? Perhaps, he should accept it, since Ninurta (who isn't from where Kija lives) isn't really aware about how important using his power for the better is. Even so, it's still awfully tough because he's clung to it for so long.

“Anyway…” 

He steps out, and looks back to Ninurta seeing if he’s following. Though, with the surprise of the dove- he takes the envelope, opens it with his hands… He stares at the card, he can feel himself become embarrassed again. He looks down, so hopefully Ninurta cannot see his face. Why, why are they doing this to him?!

"You say that I shouldn’t worry, but aren’t you my,” To say such a thing, in which nothing is truly his. He’s known that for awhile now but he dares speak such unknown words that he doesn’t know will always be the truth. His words have a certain flow to them, for being a prince, this is natural, ”..husband, are you not? I should be nothing but worried for your health. So I should always make sure you’re at your best. Besides.. if you feel as if you should take care of me, shouldn’t I take care of you, isn’t this how a marriage works.” He speaks, a hand placed on his chest.

He finally raises to his feet, his free hand extended to the other so that he could grasp it and trails of water runs down his arm to the tip of his fingers, falling back into the liquid they were submerged in. "I.." Who is Kija’s master, exactly? "Have yet to learn of who it is that’s your Master, but I cannot allow any harm to come to you when you’re with me." Siana always believed Ninurta to be a king person because of this, always looking out for others and not even himself though he does have his selfish desires. "I’ll make sure that you’re fine so that when you return to them, they’ll have nothing to worry about."

"Besides, we should make haste, like you said, there’s so much more to see and what can be offered to you." Ninurta has seen many things but he knows Kija’s mind is more fascinated to everything, no matter how simple.

“Yes… That is true.” He hesitates just a bit, that title being brought to light has made him feel rather shy, but Ninurta is telling the truth, “I’m honoured then… But please, you are ill, so I cannot allow you to fret just now.”

He would truly feel awful if his immune system becomes weak yet again and he falls ill during this trip. That risk is still possible here, it’s either he feels fine, or weak. He could collapse at any moment, honestly. That thought is truly frightening. He wouldn’t want Ninurta to stress over an illness, so hopefully he stays strong for the most part.

Kija does take Ninurta’s hand, and stands up. A small sigh leaves his lips, relieved from relaxing for so long.

“I almost forgot, you aren’t aware of…” That’s right, Ninurta isn’t from his world, where there are only four dragons- and he is one of them, “I am one of the four dragons that serve the king… For years we all have waited for our king to return to us so we can serve them yet again. This hand… It carries the thousands of years, and all my ancestors who wished to serve the king but could not.”

He pauses, remembering that the previous Hakuryuu was his dad, so there he lowers his voice and murmurs (mostly to himself), “I also carry the passion of what he carved on my back.” He looks a bit lonely, but he smiles. His father, truly someone respectable, and cherished. Even though, Kija never was able to get to know him that much. With his eyes closed he inhales, then exhales.

“Serving the master is my greatest wish..!” He… still continues on, “It’s the reason why I have this power, and why I am born. I am here to serve, and be her dragon. I truly hope I can return to her.” He nods, “But I suppose, now… If I cannot at this moment, I will serve this family and protect it with all my might. And that means you’re included in that too.”

Why didn’t he tell him not to touch, or smack his hands away. He knows not to ever make these actions again! Yet.. he thinks this. Ears twitch as he hears what the male says, though his voice is just a whisper. He’s sure he’s caught it. "About mine…" But, eyes raise at the male’s chest where it seems he’s trying to stop something. He stares at the red that covers the male’s features, his pale skin that gains color because of such things like this. To see his face burn with such a color and then his locks of hair brings out the blush on his features.

"You say that.. and yet, I find myself at a loss for words. It’s such a sinking feeling that’s overwhelming me. I don’t think anyone has eyes such as yours, that seem to take my breath away. I never stared at them this much to become lost in them.. That sounds pathetic, doesn’t it? But I hope you don’t mind if I stare at them, just a little while longer sometimes. They do take my worries away." 

Maybe this is why, he liked looking into them. A time of peace for him. Is that too much? He doesn’t know if this is a sense of security, probably not. But.. Maybe he should have not said this? Especially since the other was finally calming down. Ninurta takes a small breath, finally having that out of his chest. He laughs softly to himself, hands raising out from the water as to look at them just a bit before speaking once again.

"Is my health truly a gift?" At the time, he’s believed it to be a curse, to hear such things are unknown. To give them are possibly something that is done with him, but to hear it directed at himself. He tries not to frown at all but take in the other dragon’s words. "Maybe it’s because you deserve that credit, to take your time out and do these things for me. Someone with such a kind heart shouldn’t have to and yet I have nothing to give."

One of the little kids around the hot tubs pushes a few buttons so the bubbles start up, this surprises Ninurta just a bit as he pokes out one of his fingers to pop one. Then the kids leave because they’re gentle souls who love to play around.

“I suppose it is,” He admits, “I might have to say I am a bit jealous. Outside of the Hiryuu Castle, I am not protected, and I can feel myself become weaker than usual… Ah, but it’s not a worry. I can take care of it. So far, I haven’t felt myself feel ill in any way.” Now that he told Ninurta that, he felt as if he shouldn’t have. Oops! He didn’t mean to say too much, perhaps… He’s a bit homesick?

“You have nothing to worry about! As the White Dragon, I have to stay strong for my master so I can’t let any illness get the better of me!”

Well, now he really hopes he doesn’t jinx himself, however. Becoming terribly ill like before was awful. Especially when he couldn’t do such duties he was born for… No, that’s not really something he should think about right now, because he isn’t that ill right now, right? Yes, focus on the present.

Though, his duty will always be precious and sacred to him.

Taken surprise by the sudden rise in bubbles, Kija almost jumps, tensing a bit, but realizing nothing bad has happened he relaxes once more.

Shin-Ah opened his mouth to say something but then just as quickly closed it. Kija had never (really) steered him wrong before, so he was Sure what he did just now was fine. More or less. With a nod, Shin-Ah slowly enters the elevator, hand at the ready to draw his blade if he needs to. It doesn’t look threatening in the slightest it just FEELS off…like this is a trap waiting to ensnare all of them.

Better to be on guard, just in case.

"… …This…?"

Shin-Ah waits for the other two to board before he jumps (slightly, SLIGHTLY) when the doors close. But then nothing else happens?! Slowly looking around, he eventually spots several buttons on the nearby wall. He blinks beneath his mask then shuffles over, discreetly and begins to press them. — It lights up and Shin-Ah, in a panic, presses all of the buttons. Now they’re all lit up like lanterns and he’s not entirely sure why? He tries pressing them again and again but then the ENTIRE THING STARTS TO MOVE!!!

He moves away from the younger dragon in order to get closer to the panel of buttons as they stop on the next floor to inspect it. There’s still a few more buttons that they haven’t tried yet, and he wonders what they do too. There’s a particular button where two arrows are pointing towards each other that really catches his interest. “Hm, I wonder what these do too…”

As the doors open to the next floor, the three notice another person running towards the elevator in a hurry, yelling at them to “hold the door!” for him just as Jae-ha presses that specific button thus closing the door in the poor man’s face.

"Oh—" Well, there’s that. 

Afterwards, the rest of the rides through the floors is rather mundane and they all managed to semi-get used to this weird elevator thing. But when they just finish traveling half of the areas, the lights in the room go off and they stop moving. 

Oh? 

Oh, oh, oh?! 

Are they…. STUCK? Needless to say, Jae-ha clings to the railing around the walls, waiting for his eyes to adjust to the darkness.

Who knows!

Okay, well, they start their elevator adventure. It’s pretty interesting how they can rise up in this metal box, able to visit all these floors! They didn’t even need to walk? Amazing… It’s like they’re flying, sort of.

In a flash of a moment, the lights cut out, and Kija practically jumps!

“W-w-what is the meaning of this—?!” He exclaims, at Jae-ha’s words he nods (even though he probably can’t see him that well, “I’m right here! Ah… Are you guys alright?”

This is… Unexpected, “We must find a way to escape! I refuse to be trapped in this metal box…” Of course, Kija takes this opportunity to use his dragon to rip a hole through the top of the elevator. All he sees is darkness, but there’s a draft of air so… There must be an escape route somewhere!

Maybe he should have left the male’s head down because he got hit!! Oh no.. The male bends to see what’s caught Kija’s attention and when the ball is in his grasp, "Ah, I see, they’re playing a game." He says as he looks to see the couple who are calling back for the ball with a group of people, it’s the best way to play it anyway. "It’s weird.. to see someone wear a scarf in an activity such as that, I wonder if she’ll be okay?" He questions as Kija throws the ball back to them and they are grateful aren’t they.

"Well, yes, it’s a sport and also a game. I’m sure they’d let you play if you asked so maybe tomorrow if they’re playing again we should ask." Surely, he’d make sure the other tried before this cruise came to an end, honestly. At the mention of him doing much better, Ninurta blinks a bit and then nods. 

"Because we aren’t near many people, you’ve chosen a good spot. I didn’t mean to stop speaking to you before, I was having a few difficulties. Besides, it’s thanks to you that I even feel capable to do these things."

His head is lifted, and Ninurta speaks about his features, Kija feels his blood rushing to the surface of his face once again, completely embarrassed due to the comment. He would’ve said something in reply, but Kija is at a completely lost for words. Even so, he attempts to reply, “A…Ah… No…”

“I should be the one saying such a thing about…” He attempts to continue that sentence, but his voice becomes low, almost like a whisper, “Yours…”

He couldn’t even properly respond back, he could only focus on the pounding that’s going on in his chest right now. As if something will burst out- when Ninurta let’s go of Kija’s hands, he immediately places them over his chest, as if trying to stop it from beating so much. Why must he be so weak to such words!? He silently hopes Ninurta isn’t looking at him weird… To maybe avoid this, he lowers his eyes again, as he feels his blood boil- he shakes his head, trying to tell himself to calm down.

He slowly begins to feel his chest finally calm down, as Ninurta speaks about the ball game the others are playing.  He lifts his head up again, with a small smile, “Please, you’re giving me an awfully a lot of credit. I only wished for you to get well, and that is the best gift I could get right now. Your health.” As a dragon who serves, seeing the smile of the one he's trying to serve is the best he could possibly receive!

"Forgive me, my time will be given to you and only you. No one else."

It’s only to be them, nothing more and nothing less which Ninurta has to understand, if he really wants it just to be them. He doesn’t know why that gets to him, though it’s always been said before. Kija really did try hard for the crowned prince, wanting to place him at ease and keep things only between them. Part of him wondered, why Kija wants to do this so much for the dragon, was it because he was a dragon? If he was something else, would he be treated the same? He doesn’t know at all and it’s nothing he wants to bring up as he makes his way into the tub as well.

Being consumed in such heat is a blessing, a relaxed sigh leaves from his lips as he falls into silence from the heat. He does sit somewhat next to Kija but there is distance between them. A yawn falls from his mouth and hand raises to cover it, it’s just really warm and inviting. His hair is brought to the side so that he’s sure that he doesn’t sit on it at all. Having so much hair must be tedious, he wonders if it’s easier to enjoy life with such short locks. Is that how Kija always done his hair?

"Well said, I haven’t been in one for quite awhile, it’s been lost on me but I believe I needed it." Though, something plagues his mind. He wants to mention it but he says nothing yet.. keeping it to himself. "It’s relaxing I believe I could doze off.. haa." Though even if it’s true, he makes sure to stay awake with the other. His eyes doesn’t bother to stare at Kij at all, since that would be rude and looks at how far away they were from others. He’s relieved just a bit which brings the male to rest his back against wall of the tub. It’s sooo warm. For an ice dragon, he’s sure he could radiate enough so that a small cover of ice layered on top of the tub. It wouldn’t change anything, it’d melt as soon as it came if he did so.

So, hopefully the small deeds he can do to assist Ninurta can bring even the slightest smile to his face.

Kija couldn’t really help but be overjoyed at the compliment, he looks down- pressing his fingers together, cheeks turning slightly red (compliments always make him do this-! With his skin being so pale it’s so noticeable), “Y…You’re welcome! It’s my pleasure, of course…”  

Although, something hits Kija in the back of his head— it isn’t anything hard, so the impact doesn’t hurt him whatsoever. He turns his back to see what could’ve hit him, only to notice a blown-up ball rolling on the ground near them. He tilts his head a bit, and picks it up.

A few pools away, in the main one a couple is there- waving their hands to get noticed. A black haired female, and a multi-coloured hair male (wait, is that the guy that was giving the speech?!).

“Oh, is this theirs’…?” He mutters, well, it was pretty simple to throw the ball back with his stronger dragon hand. They retrieve the ball when it lands in their own pool, giving another wave as a thanks, then Kija turns back around to face Ninurta, “I wonder what they’re doing, it looks fun. A type of sport? Game?” Maybe he should try one day! Not now though, his focus is on Ninurta’s health.

"I.. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS JAN?" One of the girls speaks up in a miffed manner, how could a cute guy just REJECT her like that? WHO the hell did Kija think he was? The young girl, who was Jan, blinked in a confused manner, “W. Well, the other guy was really cute so.. I understand his choices?” KYAAAAA! That came from the girl who wasn’t Jan. “But, JAN, he should have been interested in ME, UGH!!! WTF!! Like.. I need to dial my BFF Jill, TTYL, Jan. I can’t believe this happened?” "But don’t you think they’re kinda cute, they seem akward?" Jan says. "STFU." Jan’s friend, says back to her. "Cute as George Glass HUH? HUH?"

Anyway, Ninurta isn’t listening to all this even though he has good ears, he’s basically listening out if Kija has something to say. Besides, they were going to the hot tub farthest from everyone? Was he nervous. He could help, he was a prince.. but that would have been awkward. “If you need help, I don’t mind giving it.”

"I’m sure things like flowers work." He laughs slightly, "Anyone thinks flowers are special." It’s by this time they get to the hot tub and he makes sure that Kija goes in first since he has to watch him that nothing happens. The dragon’s ears twitch as he feels some glares, maybe one, single glare on him and it’s kinda.. weird.. but he’ll live. Since it dies off soon. It looks like? A random animal, just started chasing at her since some kids threw little crumbs on her? Shout out to the NPCs from before.

Why! Why is Ninurta pointing out things that shouldn’t be?! Kija looks at Ninurta is complete DISBELIEF at his words. He waves his hands at Ninurta, “Please, it’s not that! Do not misunderstand, I beg of you…”

“Allow me to only accompany you, and please accompany me for the time being as well.” He says, “Isn’t that what we said earlier? Let’s share in a quiet time where outside disturbances cannot rattle our minds, and we can relax.” There, he smiles, even though he is still extremely embarrassed on the inside. Ninurta just doesn’t understand… To join women in such activities. So impure! He just couldn’t!

Not to mention, the language those women used… Quite odd! He didn’t understand, at all. Is that how people in this world talk? He doesn’t think he could do that.

Who is George Glass? Maybe that man will hopefully console Jan over the fact she was rejected. Please, though… Kija didn’t want to spend time with such strangers.

Well, finally making it to the desired tub it seems like Kija will have to be the one to enter first. Is Ninurta still nervous? Kija decides to step ahead and do so anyway, since he’s probably basically guiding Ninurta through most of this adventure at this post; praying on the inside the ice dragon ends up feeling better. Hopefully, the two will be able to relax, and just get to know each other better. Surely, they’ve spent quite some time together, having certain wild events happen to them… But he hasn’t got to know the other dragon too well.

A few blinks of confusion washes over him as he tries to understand what the other said, the changing rooms? "Ah, I have yet to go in." Besides, he did as promised, he waited here for Kija until the other was finished. Seeing that he’s removed his clothing and now has a towel on as clothing. A nod of reassurance that the other can do this on his own, he glances at the male’s hand before taking the towel accordingly.

"Thank you." As polite as he can be, “I guess it’s just built to please people so they try their best to include many things.” Kija is excited about these things, isn’t he? This is nothing but the norm for Ninurta having grown up in a kingdom that had many of these things. “Showers are possibly for those who use the pools, to remove the chlorine from their skin.” Since it’s bad to have it on you for so long, if he remembers correctly. Steps are taken past Kija as the male slowly begins to unbutton his attire towards the changing rooms,

"…" This has been such a long time where he was able to relax but he is a bit tense. To relax during such a time as this, surely.. he can’t believe everything is up to par.. Troublesome. Worrisome. To be here. He bites down on his tongue with one of his fangs to remind himself that he needs to get it together. Give or take about seven minutes and he’s able to change into just the towel. Ok. Well. Maybe this was a big miss steak. He doesn’t want anyone to look at his bod. Lord.. why. Please don’t let this be a parody of Sexy and I know It. Not like he knows what that is.

He undoes the braid in his hair since he doesn’t want for it to be like this when indulged in water, claws running through it so that it’s now straight down his back. Hands tying the towel a bit more tighter around him and finally walking out in a slow pace since his eyes are concentrated on not allowing the towel to fall. Even though he’s sure he has a few eyes placed upon him, hair almost running against the floor, you know some people may be jealous.

Either way, he informs Ninurta that he shall wait like he did for Kija in the same manner. So here the white dragon is, minding his own business- he constantly takes a look around to scout out where everything is. The place is rather quiet, not too populated for the most part- except for a few people here and there. Actually, some ladies coming out of another changing room notice Kija, smile at him.

Of course, to be polite, Kija only smiles back- something Jae-ha has always told them to do when trying to talk to the ladies… But… This is where it gets awkward; they ask Kija to join them! Kija tenses up a bit, staring awfully confused- and embarrassed as his face turns slightly red. He raises a hand dismissively, waving, and takes a few steps back refusing as kindly as he could. He’s always received attention from females in the village, and not to mention Granny always tried to set him up- but this! The thought of men, and women joining together in such baths?! How impure!

He couldn’t…

Well, at least they leave (disappointment evident on their faces) and Kija only sighs in relief.

When Ninurta returns, so much relief floods over Kija. Finally, he can get away from the other strangers, with the other dragon he knows (Sort of) better!

"Hm? I will, after you come out I’ll go in after." A nod comes from him as hands run though his locks of hair. Careful around his horns, he points towards the direction of the changing room once more, "Just go there, and I’ll wait here like I said." Crossing his arms before his chest, he slowly takes a step forward as if minding his own business. It’s natural to him, considering his upbringing, to become lost in thought and keeping himself on the move is something that doesn’t die hard.

There’s a lot to think about as to why he’s here in such a time, a sigh leaving from him and his tongue run against his fangs. His throat is a bit dry and maybe drinking something would be preferable but what would quench his thirst at a time like this? Before moving on to find something that can remedy that, he turns around to see if Kija has gone to change into a towel or anything really. Ears perk up to seeing that the male hasn’t moved on yet, curious as to what could have been the hold up, Ninurta moves back over.

“Ah, sorry. I was thinking about something,” after saying what he had before, he did feel homesickness settle within him and now it’s on the mind. Though, he couldn’t help but not focus on it, honestly! He had a duty, but at the same time it’s nearly impossible to return… Oh, why did fate turn upon him in such a fashion? He shakes his head, right now he should try to focus on getting Ninurta to chill, “Please stay put then! I will retrieve a towel for you!”

And with that, he does scamper off, not allowing Ninurta to refuse Kija’s help in any way (unless he follows him, of course). The changing rooms are quite a sight to Kija, it’s filled with lockers, which he didn’t realize that they were basically like cupboards until he opened one. Well, finding the towels was no problem, so he made sure to get two. Returning to one of the sets of lockers, he presumes that this is where clothes are held, makes good enough sense!

So off goes Kija’s fancy outfit plus the bandages around his arm, and like Ninurta said the towel goes around his waist. It actually feels kind of weird taking off his bandages around his hand so casually in such a public place. Usually, it’s something that needs to be hidden because it attracts attention, but around here it’s not like he’s hunted by the enemy.

Scurrying back outside with a towel in hand he goes to return to Ninurta, “Ninurta, have you seen the changing room! It’s very nice, and clean! I think I even saw showers? There was so much, it is quite a sight. This boat surely has a lot, I wonder how they fit so many amazing wonders on this.”

Jae-ha sensed that both Kija and Shin-ah were around this ship somewhere and part of him truly did want to avoid them (but only a small part of him!), but instead, he went around looking for them both and as luck would have it, they were both in the same spot. Trying to get on an escalator. Long story short, it didn’t really work out for any of them and the trio managed to stumble upon yet another discovery!

It’s very metallic on the outside but cozy on the inside—and what’s that? Cheap music playing within this moving room?! Incredible! This must be what they call an “elevator”, it’s truly the dragons’ first time seeing one, and it’s apparent that all of them are unsure about it. The first one to break the silence is, of course, Jae-ha with a nervous laugh.

All three of them just… Stared at this machine, silence fills the hallway (minus the elevator music that emits from the machine). When Jae-ha finally speaks up, Kija looks towards the green dragon, a tad bit unsure. He turns his gaze towards Shin-ah, who is just as quiet as the rest (although, he was always silent).

“Ah… Well…”

Looks left. Right. Left again… No one is really volunteering… So Kija decides toabout to speak up when… The elevator door is beginning to close! With a surprised gasp, Kija rushes up to the door and forcibly pushes one of the sides open with his dragon hand (probably crushing some of the metal door as he does so, oops).

He pauses, and looks down at his damage…
