Thank you! Yes, I work out in those clothes, and no, they are taken on a daily basis. There are a lot more in the series to come, including video, if I can get to it with everything else I have going on in my career. All other details are a secret - after all, if I told everyone everything, there wouldn’t be anything left to the imagination. Mystery is the spice of life! What kind of gym progress are you most pleased to see? The triumph of heavier lifts, or the satisfaction of seeing hypertrophy? Also, who are your favorite comedians, if you listen to any?

On Gym Progress

I am most pleased to get stronger, believe it or not. I like the practical, everyday confidence that being able to handle a lot of weight provides. Of course, as I get stronger, I am quite aware of how that changes the shape of my body, and since I am photographed for the shape of my body, I make sure to build and sculpt as proportionately as possible. Most men who lift are not so careful, and you will see this in their resultingly imbalanced shape (the biggest infraction being deltoids that are way too large for the rest of the body; happens with pectorals, too).

On Comedians

I’m an incredibly serious person and don’t consume much comedy material; I fight against the little time we have to focus on thinking about issues that are intellectually challenging and extremely important to the human condition. Is comedy trivial? Perhaps, but I don’t fault people who enjoy it. I just prefer to keep my attention focused on other things. If I were to name one, though, it would be someone of the older guard, like Whoopi Goldberg or Jerry Seinfeld.
