I mean, Robert and Damien are already neighbors, that’s technically a relationship, right?. I feel like it would be hard for them to get out of the status quo; they are both reserved in their own ways. Robert would probably joke about him being a Vampire, expecting Damien to roll his eyes and give him sass about it; but he’d probably follow on his jokes.

It’d become a game, and the game would become flirting. Smitten Damien can be quite teatrical, and it’s not hard for him to assume a role and stick with it. And then, they’d probably hit another roadblock, one that Robert would have to break to engage Damien in a relationship and go into a more private and romantic one.

But honestly, if Robert wants to skip all that he should just… bring Betsy and let her do her thing.

The girl was home alone since Kaido was on a trip for an anthropology conference. This meant the house was hers for the next month. She wore a pair of exercise shorts and a sports bra as she sang and danced along to the radio.

“You interrupted my seance and the spirit said some very rude things about you that I will not repeat.”

“My demon doesn’t like anyone, don’t worry.”

“The little ghost is probably a demon, I mean it has no face and always appears wet.”

“The ouija board is my favorite telephone.”

“I’m throwing a party with spirits, don’t disturb me.”

“Well they’ve never hurt me. They just attack everyone around me.”

“I have a habit of having bad energy attach itself to me and protect me.”

“Demons are very possessive, so on the bright side, this means the two currently bugging me won’t let anyone else near me.”

“I like my ouija board.”

“So this demon is a very slow writer. Give them time to get their message out, don’t interrupt them. They’ll get mad.”

“Trust me, you don’t want that to happen to you.”

“Apparently Grandmother made a deal with the Devil, so I can see demons and ghosts and shit. Very helpful - sometimes.”

“Don’t trust them. They lie constantly.”

“Ugh, you’re just making her paranoia worse by letting her play with that old thing!”

“Until I wake up dead in my bed, I won’t believe in your spirit shit.”
