there’s just something so fascinating about (fictional) cannibalism. From the desperate situation of hunger to the crazed desire to feast on another’s flesh, it’s all so wonderful to me. Although I do tend to lean towards one side, I love it all.

I love writing fucked up, unhinged characters, especially when they’re getting that adrenaline rush, when they’re manic and shaky and can barely contain their murderous bloodlust. I live for that; it’s by far my FAVORITE thing to write, hands down. The involuntary licking of their teeth, the quickening of their heartbeat, the feeling of being on cloud nine, and maybe a bit of lightheadedness too.

It’s all so perfect.

binge watching those (the boys S2) episodes really did solidify my confidence in the idea of Homelander getting so horribly attached to a person who can match his freak is strong as/stronger than him bc of his silly ass god complex and his need to be loved and pampered

when I first saw the MK1 intros between Hl and Omni I was surprised at how flirtatious playful Hl was, I was expecting him to be way more aggressive since he knew Omni is far stronger than him. But no, he’s overly friendly and even a little sassy with it, like he’s excited to meet someone who can put him in the dirt anytime they please

It makes a lot of sense now, and I bet it’ll make even more sense when I go deeper into the seasons w/ my friends. Homelander is addicted and attracted to power, and Omni has that in spades. AND the fact that Omni is far older than him makes me realize that Hl would also see him as some type of caretaker (especially during aftercare) or a fucked up father figure

Yeeeaaah attachment is an understatement. Obsessive is the word.
