Every day it becomes a little easier to let you go. No, it's not that I forget you. I do not forget and those memories that we created will always be there but the intensity of the feeling fades and it doesn't hurt as much anymore. It becomes blurry, like a dream whose sensations are remembered with such intensity upon waking up but that later, with the passing of the minutes, I forget. I no longer miss talking with you so much or the laughter or even the overflowing passion to which we madly surrendered. No, that little by little fades with absence. It actually only makes me reaffirm my belief in the ephemerality of feelings. They are as changeable as they are capricious, and that is why reason should always temper the heart. I only have a melancholic smile left on my face, a bittersweet feeling of gratitude and loss that I am certain will also lose its intensity with the passage of time.
