Reminder to please not reblog or post content mocking very serious events such as the Midwest Fur Fest incident as not only is that wrong in general, but we have many Clanmates who may have been affected in anyway by the event and we must keep their (and your) safety and comfort a priority. Not...
Thank you for this! I would like to report that despite being exposed to the chemicals it had no ill effect on myself and I got home with few issues. Aside from some car trouble for an unrelated reason my entire group returned with 0 damage and for that I am thankful.
The nursery was quiet, a cool wave of frosted dust blowing in through the entrance. The sky above Frostclans camp was clear and vibrant, as though each warrior in silverpelt had sat themselves to spectate the quiet murmurs that would soon stir a busy uproar of late night work for the icy mountain cats.
The isolation of slumbering murmurs was soon broken with a much more heavy sound, that of one red shecat, writing about in her feather lined nest.
Redflower unsheathed her claws, ripping at the moss structure before blue eyes flashed open wide. What she had first thought was elluded pain, soon left her gasping and desperate in realization of what was happening. The mollyâs  flank and stomach rose and fell with every heavy breath. She took little time, hauling herself to the nests edge and nosing her muzzle into the one beside her, where Moonfrost slumbered peacefully with her own litter. The silver molly woke with a start, head sticking up as her ears stood alert before turning to see Redflower in the thin stream of moonlight flooding in through their dens entrance.
âGet. Adderclaw.â She hissed before laying back down in her own nest, fur ruffling as she let out a disgruntled huff. Moonfrost looked puzzled for only a moment until a spark of realization hit her and she bounded off with a trill of excitement in the back of her throat. Only pausing for a moment to rasp her tongue over Robinkit and Maplekit before seeking out Adderclaws assistance.
Minutes later a large fluffy shadow stormed inside the nursery, successfully waking up the rest of the nursery in process of getting to Redflowers nest. Her contractions were quick, far more so than would be expected for only just calling Adderclaw to her aid, proof that she likely had started the kitting before ever waking up.
Even so, the first kit was not born until one by one, Starclans grace begun receding in the morning light, and the first of three slid out into the world at her mother's feet.
âA little molly.â Adderclaw purred, rasping his tongue over the wet bundle of ginger and white fur before passing her on to Redflower. It was then that Foxtail left her friends side to be watched over by Moonfrost and the clans Medicinecat, retrieving another warm, though nervous face to greet them.
âIs- Is she done?â The usual confidence in his meow uncertain and careful.
âNot just yet.â Adderclaw muttered, eyes focused on his work as another kit was soon to follow, Redflowers breathing heavy and eyes glazed as she glanced about in hope of sighting her mate, Dragonstep.
âYou- Have a daughter.â She grinned, body tensing while she spoke only to be followed with the happy purr of Adderclaw down by her flank.
âAnd a son!â He cheered, teeth carefully snipping the cord before repeating the same process he had with the shekit a few minutes before. Dragonstep was already hovering over his mate, nuzzling into her ruffled pelt and eagerly craning his neck to see his children. âLook at my beautiful little girl! And my handsome little tom!â He beamed, eyes closing while the tom purred with immediate fondness. Redflower twisted carefully to lap his cheek before settling back into her nest. For now, she was calm. Though Adderclaw was certain she was not finished, this moment of peace, with her friends and mate by her side; gave Redflower the time and ability to talk calm and gentle, moving her muzzle to sniff and continue cleaning her kittens before nudging them carefully towards her stomach. Their mews already drawing the attention of Moonfrosts own eager children.
âWhat do you plan on calling them?â The silver tabby asked quietly. Redflower glanced in Dragonsteps direction, unsure how to answer. She had not taken the time to pick or plan many names and those she had⌠They just didnât feel right at this moment. She had a feeling however, that Dragonstep might have some suggestions.
âWell- what are their names, dear?â Starclan itself had no brighter light than those in Dragonsteps eyes.
The naming was quick, uncomplicated, but with some disagreement. âRatkitâŚâ He nodded to the tom, clambering over his sisters back in pursuit of a warmer spot and better supply of milk. The ginger shecat let out a desperate mew, moving blindly about until the tom took a tumble and rolled off from her back. Foxtail snickered and nodded approvingly. âIt suits him.â Although, Redflower had a feeling the tom might not be thinking of a large scurrying rodent.
âAnd for her?â She added with a smile.
Dragonstep took his time considering his choice in name. Humming quietly to himself before letting his eyes widen, gaze flicking over the mollyâs ginger pelt and picking a name suitable as well as desirable of his own peculiar interests.
âCornkit!â
âCO-RNkiT?â Redflower gasped, caught off as quickly by the choice in name as she was in another powerful contraction. She was breathing heavy once more, preparing to continue the process of kitting with a now agitated Adderclaw trying to silence the bickering couple.
âWe arenât calling our daughter Cornkit.â
âBut- Itâs after a gorgeous specimen. They practically have the same color-â
âCornkit.â
âCome on, I promise its-â
âDragonstep!â Adderclaw cut in, hissing for his silence. âMaybe you are underthinking this hmm?â He stressed his voice, gesturing back down to Redflower as if hoping it would imply this was not the time.
âOh- yes⌠Of course. Iâll keep thinking!â
With that Redflower rested easy again, controlling her breath as she listened to Adderclaws instructions and was soon relieved of the pain and burden of childbirth. When the third and final kit was released, he was tangled, frantic, already on the move with a start and Squirming violently as Adderclaw snipped the cord and lapped some warmth into the tiny bundles pelt before passing him on. He was the smallest of the litter, though strikingly similar to the eldest of three. Dragonstep spoke before congradulations could even begin.
âTaipan.. Taipankit.â
Not yet finished with her own sigh of relief, Redflower glanced over to the tiny tom and nodded. âTaipenâ Whatever it was⌠Dragonstep sounded sure⌠Confident. The name sounded strong-clever even. Though without an understanding of just what it meant, she was lost as to why.
âAnd Coral.â
âCoral?â
âCoral.â
"Is it a snake?" Dragonstep 'Mhmmed' and nodded eyes still trained on the tiny squirming bundles, all pressed pelt to pelt against eachother, warm and safe near their mothers white belly.
Redflower glanced back to her litter, a warm smile spreading with the glow of motherhood as she curled around her children.
(So glad your back!!) foxtail trotted up to her red furred friend smiling widely. "Redflower!!!" She sang. Coming up to her friend and rubbing against her affectionately. "Do I have news for you."
"I could say the same!" She purred back, nuzzling into Foxtails thick brown pelt. "Iâm so sorry we havenât talked much recently⌠Ive just been busy with Ravenpaw- and Dragonstep. But im glad youâre here now!" Her voice chirped with equal excitement as it did fondness for her friends presence. "But what was it you wanted to say?"
"Oh are you serious?!!" If it was possibly at this point Foxtailâs smile would streach to her ears but after the news Redflower shared they would have reached Starclan. She tackled her friend and they tumbled a little. "Redflower thatâs wonderful! Since Moonfrost had her kits, and us being expecting, weâll be nursery mates!" Foxtail pressed her forehead to Redflowers affectionately. "How many weeks are you?"
It was at that moment, tackled beneath her friend she glanced down carefully to her belly, already beginning to swell with the first signs of life. "Almost four weeks." She grinned. "I'll be moving officially into the nursery any day now." Imagine the good fortune she would have to be sharing her first nursery trip-her first litter! Not only with Moonfrost but Foxtail too! "How far along are you?"

Redflower woke early in the morning, long before Dragonstep could greet her for their usual shared training and even before any other cat but the night guard was moving about. She moved carefully over each sleeping body and away from the warriors den, letting cool night air bathe her ginger pelt before stopping short of the camp exit, poking her head into the apprentices den. /Hopefully this wont wake anyone else up/ "Ravenpaw?"
Ravenpaw picked her head up, her ears perked. It was Redflower. Right today she was going to begin training her tail off. Slowly she rose from her nest, taking one last look around the den before heading out. Silverpelt still lit up the sky. No sane prey would be out at this hour so she knew what they would be doing. âIâm awake Redflower.â She said as she emerged from the den. âWhat are we going to do today?â
As soon as Ravenpaw got out she was sure that when she got to a nest she would spend moons washing herself. âTh-thank you.â She stuttered, water dripping off her fur. Even though her bones seemed to ache she was just glad she got out of the cold water. âL-lets just get back to camp and warm upâŚâ
"Of course." She padded past Ravenpaw, brushing her pelt against the black shecats in hope of encouraging some warmth to come. "Lets get ready to run now alright?" She dropped her voice into a little whisper, teeth chattering despite the cold. "I'll let you in on a little secret, the warriors den is much more warm than the apprentices. So we can lay in my nest... Ready?"
Foxtail turned around and smiled more, if that was even possible since she was smiling so wide. âWell, only a few know butâŚâ She jumped in place. âIâm going to be a mother soon!â Her voice filled with excitement.
If Redflower was overjoyed before now her pelt was absolutely prickling with excitement. She wanted to yelp and cheer, tackling Foxtail to the ground like she made painful habit of doing when spending time with her friend. Instead she contained her jubilance, working it out by simply kneading her paws into the ground as she dove forward to press her forehead to Foxtails, the rumble of purring in her throat overwhelmingly loud was she did. "Oh Foxtail thats wonderful!" As soon as she was forward, Redflower leaned back with a spring in her haunches, pawing the ground as she burst with her own joy. "I'm pregnant! Me and Dragonstep are going to be parents too!"
'Frozenfur?' Tawnypaw meowed tentatively as she padded beside her mentor on a border patrol. They had trained hard for the last few days but an icy wall remained between them.
"Hm?" She glanced to the side, only for a moment in acknowledgment of the torti and white cat beside her. Words had been seldom between the two and Frozenfur was long from breaking her icyness to the shecat. Still though, as her mentor there was a job in place to be done. "Need something?"
Tawnypaw frowned. âBut I donât just want to be a capable warrior! I donât just want to be the cat that everyone in the Clan says, âOh, Tawnypaw, yes sheâs average, nothing particularly special about her but nevermind, there are others.â I want cats to looks at me and say, âGreat Starclan, look at her! She can fight, she can hunt and Iâm proud to have her in my Clan!â because how can they say that when I canât seem to make you proud to be my mentor? And I think I -â She bit her tongue quickly, not wanting to finish the sentence.
While Frozenfur was used to an unusual amount of spunk for such a young cat, the passion and ferocity in her voice was somewhat startling for even Frozenfur to comprehend. "You can hunt- and you are learning to fight!' Frozenfur lashed her tail indignantly, eyes narrowing in suspicion of her apprentices claims. "The only thing stopping you from being great is- wait..." She stopped from her own train of though. "You think what, exactly?"
"I'm so sorry we haven't talked much recently... Ive just been busy with Ravenpaw- and Dragonstep. But im glad you're here now!" Her voice chirped with equal excitement as it did fondness for her friends presence. "But what was it you wanted to say?"
Hey guys sorry ive been so inactive recently! Ive had a major writers block and just havent been up for rp. If anyone wants to start something I would adore some starters at any of my characters.
From here though I will be dropping all of the old chats I have going on excluding one with Tawnypaw and Ravenpaw.

Ravenpaw shook her head. âIâll go one more time⌠Then we can go back to camp and warm up.â She suggested, beginning to claw her way back down the river. It was a little easier now that she was closer to the bank. When she picked her paws up she shook the mud off from under her claws. It took her a little longer to get to the spot because she was getting more tired by the minute.Â
Once she was where she wanted to be she turned around and began to wade back. She couldnât drag herself in the water any further. She was exhausted. Once she got back to Redflower she could feel the old soaking to her bones. âC-can we go back now?â She asked.
"Of course." The Molly purred gently, turning her own body towards shore, ginger fur streaming with as many bits of reed as there was water. Redflower turned back to watch Ravenpaw's progress a careful and encouraging smile on her muzzle while she watched the black shecat paddle back to the riverbank.
"It gets easier, I promise. Weaselfoot had me clawing trees for a moon until I could bat a bird off a branch." She chuckled, craning her neck down to lap carefully at her soaked white chestfur. "And you already have decent enough aim when it comes to these things- thats clear enough with your hunting. All you need to do now is keep working on getting your strength up."
It had been a hard day for Raven, swimming and catching fish; it had really been hard! Luck for her it was warm so she was laying on the beach, basking in the moonlight. Everything was illuminated silver and white, even the water from below the moon. She could hear fish swimming in the water and she was tempted to go after them but she stayed put, her tail a ways from the water. Her body was nestled in a hole in the sand, any normal person that saw her would think she was one too.
Hard days had been all around, Elsa paced back and forth around her work route. She had vowed since being stationed on Hawaiiâs northwestern islands that a new exercise regimen would be scheduled. Jogging, especially would have helped her get in shape and get more accustom to the field. Instead though, her evenings out had been restricted to quiet walks in the moonlight, flipping casually through her Ipod or resting on the prestine and untainted beaches that her facility took charge over protecting.
The full moon while curious with its strange eerie light, had been disregarded often as an illusion of fear in Elsaâs minds. Itâs bright sheen casting long shadows over the beach that would bewilder and startle her. More often than not it would be that of a lumbarding seal or stray dog that you would occasionally see abandoned by cruel boaters, cast away to live on its own on these otherwise small, uninhabited island.
This time though, she had to pause. Elsa could swear she saw something along the sand, something unmistakingly human.
Raven found herself staying closer to the beach this past week. For some reason she wanted to see the human again. Though she was weary and knew all humans couldnât be trusted. Still, she longed to see Elsa again.Â
She had always been taught to never ignore a pups cry so, when she did hear one she swam as fast as she could to the source. She soon found the pup, and Elsa leaning over it, trying to untangle the net from itâs skin. She swam into the shallows before dragging herself on the beach where the pup was. Saying nothing to Elsa she started to work on calming the seal down. Doing so would make Elsaâs work much easier. That and the seal would probably be more likely to trust the ocean dweller ratehr than the land one.Â
Caught in the frenzy of her work, Elsa hadn't noticed Raven heave herself back onto land. The last thing she expected at that moment was to be visited by the hallucination from a week before, really that's what it had to be- right?
Not having planned for any immediate care on an injured animal she had limited supplies to work with. The jeep wouldn't be accessible to her with her coworkers still out mucking about the volcano. fortunately none of the pups injuries seemed to be dire and would hopefully heal right up with the application of a little antibacterial cream. If it's mother wasn't about though- She would just have to wait until the station could be contacted.
"That's it there fella..." It squirmed about in the net, tail hitting the ground continuously in an effort to escape. Blood smeared her hands and Elsa groaned with frustration, realizing there would be no other way to calm him down, she dove back to her bag and pulled out a syringe, quickly sticking it into the furry creatures tail and injecting a small shot of tranquilizer. "It's alright... Just take it easy..." She soothed, sighing before sitting back in the sand to watch the drug take slow effect.
She looked up at that moment and went silent, eyes widening at the sight of Raven not three feet away from where she had been working.
'Frozenfur?' Tawnypaw meowed tentatively as she padded beside her mentor on a border patrol. They had trained hard for the last few days but an icy wall remained between them.

Tawnypaw shrugged, kicking the ground. She opened her mouth to taste the air before looking down again. âWe argue all the time and stuff,â She muttered. âAnd our sisters donât.â (Ravenpaw and Redflower)
Frozenfur went quiet for a moment, she turned to watch Tawnypaw with a careful expression on her face, hesitant to say anything that might upset the younger molly. "Ravenpaw and Redflower are... Different than us." She knew Redflower had felt dedication to her friends niece and that in itself would make a difference but just simply speaking, they were different cats. "You can't compare us to them... We may argue but will find our own way to shape you into a fully capable warrior, understood?"

Raven cracked a small smile as she touched the water. It felt nice to feel the cool, wetness of the ocean. âIts okay. Iâm good now.â She said, smiling at her. She knew the human wouldnât want to swim with her. She looked tired so she probably wanted to sleep. Actually, sleeping sounded nice.Â
She began to drag herself into the deeper water. âThank you Elsa!â She called before diving into the deep unknown(At least for a human).
A week had passed an Elsa was no closer to understanding that strange occurrence on the beach than she was the very evening she passed out in her sheltered shack, shoes still on with a head full of questions present.
Since then though, most questions had been pushed away in favor of better work. She dove headfirst into her papers as well as data collection with the occasional literal dive down into the coral reef in which she worked.
Today was different though. She couldn't go diving without her team and that incompatant group of fools had all gone climbing up a three mile magma chute. With any luck they would be incinerated and a replacement crew dispatched before weeks end. Elsa had spent her afternoon taking samples of the sand and stones that littered her facilities shoreline. At first she had admitted relief that no glass or rubbish had been found in the three hours she had been working from 8:00 a.m until now. That was quickly washed away when the bellow of a blubbering distress cry echoed off the volcanic rock walls. She had run for the source, soon finding a bloody scene before her as the severed hide of a young seal  tossed its body rough into the sand. A trap of sorts had wrapped around the creatures tail, cutting into the seals hard skin and splitting open its tail's flipper. Elsa arrived on the scene with her gloves already half on, bag wide open while she shuffled for further supplies to subdue the seal into a calm state and begin a proper assessment before working to remove the trap and net.

Taking leave of his mothers side for a change of pace, Shadowkit found his interests wandering from the nursery to meeting each and every cat he could. With Frostclan's vast numbers he had thusfar found little time to meet everyone, so it was not a surprise when he all but stumbled into a new, unfamiliar face. "Woah." The tiny black tom murmured in awe. "Which Warrior are you?"
(( IM SO SORRY THIS TOOK FOREVER HI ))
Gorsewindâs amber eyes narrowed to slits. While he did want kits of his own, he never had taken kindly to other catsâ kits. They were rude, loud, smelly⌠Their mothers often didnât know how to control them. But Gorsewind could let it slide, considering this was Silverstormâs kit.
"My name is Gorsewind," the brown-and-white tom replied, his tail twitching. "And which one are you?"
The tip of Gorsewindâs tail twitched in agitation. Just what did this kit think he was doing? Didnât he know that a warrior had more important things to do than stand around and talk to something hardly bigger than a hare?
Again, the young warrior thought of his former mentor and cast a sideways glance toward the nursery. Silverstorm would surely give him a tongue-lashing if he came off as rude to her son, and though Gorsewind didnât particularly care what the cats of FrostClan thought of him, Silverstorm was still one of the most honorable cats in the Clan. He took a deep breath, preparing to answer the kit.
"Thereâs so many exciting parts," Gorsewind replied to Shadowkit, his ears twitching. "I personally like border patrols the best. Itâs nice to get to the outskirts of the territory and look at some of the beautiful scenery out there." The brown-and-white tom looked down at the young kit. "Eventually, when youâre an apprentice, your mentor will take you out to explore the borders, too."
Noting Gorsewinds flick of the tail, for a moment Shadowkit considered pouncing on it. With any other cat he might in fact pursue- yet, there was something peculiar of the way Gorsewind had presented himself. He was not soft or subtle in his words. More, straightforward, without the constant patronizing of tiny voices and bending down that older cats had all shown him up until now. Even if it was not truly out of respect for him, Shadowkit found satisfaction in this disposition and ached to mirrior it.
He sat up straight and nodded his head at what Gorsewind told him, hoping to sound like a serious adult when he replied earnestly, perhaps a little too much so. "Do you think Ashstar will choose a good mentor for me? I don't want someone who will be too soft!" Shadowkit wanted to prove himself as soon as he could! Whoever his mentor was they had better be ready to for a work out themselves by the time Shadowkit was an apprentice.
Just imagine Shadowkit though, idolizing Gorsewind and following him around camp. Then when Gorse's kits are born he gets super jealous and tries curling up in Mintsplash's nest so Gorsewind will pay attention to him
