     ( —  휘인 ! )  in truth, wheein has been rather fortunate when it comes to understanding fans and a lack of bad press, never really forced to worry about those that might follow when she’s out and about. she can wander the streets without a cap and mask, and can meet up with friends outside of work; she has never found herself amidst a scandal, or her name in the headlines due to circumstances that are deemed questionable by netizens. compared to more veteran (or perhaps publicized?) idols, she lives a life closer to normal than most that are in the limelight. still, there is the realization that she still has to be careful, especially with mamamoo’s rising success.

so, as she walks alongside the undoubtedly recognizable singer, she can empathize with seolhyun’s concern. her gaze casts over to the same-aged girl, the corners of her lips curving into a reassuring smile. “i don’t think it will come down to that, but,” her petite shoulders lift into a shrug, now looking ahead to the sidewalk as they near the cafe she had wished to introduce the other to. it’s a calm night, really. surely nothing will mess that up. “i’m already wearing my sneakers, so i can if we have to.”

     ( —  휘인 ! )   hongdae. indeed, she hasn’t been able to find the time to explore the area and all that it has to offer in quite some time; at least since prior to mamamoo’s debut. while there had been times where the group itself had visited, it was never the same as being able to walk so freely like this, able to stare into shop windows for as long as she likes and able to sample all of the foods that are offered to them by various street vendors. naturally, she has found that a smile that has settled upon her lips, peeking towards the girl upon leaving a particular stand with the fish-shaped pastry.

“i guess that i haven’t,” the musing leaves her lips in contemplative tone, making sure to not run into the fellow pedestrians as she comes to stand just off to the side, holding the warm pastry with care. she raises the cake to her lips, though not before offering a raise of a brow as curiosity creeps into the depth of her eyes. “you probably don’t get the chance to go out like this very often, either, right?” after all, it’s a common consequence of being a public figure. between schedules and painted images, it leaves little room for them to have their fun.

     ( —  휘인 ! )   even the baseball cap that shades her features does little to hide the purse of wheein’s lips, gaze traveling from the path ahead to the fellow idol in her company. perhaps it’s true that she shouldn’t worry; she has nothing to hide, as far as their blossoming friendship goes, but with mamamoo’s rise within the industry and teen top’s already garnered success, she can imagine that dispatch would love to snap a photo or two of their outing. and, oh, the netizens, the fans— attempting to explain would only anger them further, wouldn’t it?

still, as arms curl around her frame, helping keep her warm as they stroll through the chill, night air, she offers her agreement. “fine,” petite shoulders lift into a shrug, looking away as they lower. despite the instinct to monitor their surroundings, the people that pass (and may just recognize them), she does indeed attempt to relax. continuing to behave so stiffly is sure to only sour the mood. “i’ll have faith in you,” a nod to affirm her words, now lighter in tone, “if you’ll tell me where exactly we’re going.”

     ( —  휘인 ! )    a basket hangs from her arm, lips pursed in contemplation as she stares at the various selection of convenience store snacks. it’s the pepero and cake snacks that are the most tempting, but the current state of her diet and mamamoo’s promotions prohibit her from gorging herself on such foods for the time being. with her eyes (and heart) set on the snack, she fails to notice the woman that has come to stand beside her, colliding rather abruptly with her form as she turns. wheein’s attention immediately returns forward as she's startled by the impact, stepping backwards to quickly bend into a bow that is meant to be apologetic. “i’m so sorry, i didn’t see you there—”

     ( —  휘인 ! )    typically busy halls are now overly crowded, the corridor packed with idols that wait for their slot to record while back-up dancers and stylists manage to make themselves comfortable against any wall or within any spare seat that they can find. wheein has been fortunate enough to have been granted an opportune moment to purchase a coffee from the vending machine that has had a queue since early morning rehearsals, though there is still a count of five before her. arms cross over her chest, hugging at her petite form as eyes lift to the form in front of her. the face is familiar, to say the least, but nerves quiver even as she finds the courage to speak to the exo member, wide smile tugging at her lips. “need some coffee to hype you up for your performance, sunbaenim?”

     ( —  휘인 ! )  he cold bites at her cheeks despite the warmth that her coat brings, rather large in comparison to her petite frame. a bag hangs loosely from her wrist, accompanied by the band of her wallet as she returns from a brief convenience store run (and perhaps a trip meant to give her some time alone), and coming to a stop at the crosswalk where the red light heeds her from walking any further, a soft sigh is exhaled past her lips. indeed, she had needed the time out. 

yet, when the traffic light flickers to the ‘walk’ symbol, she hears something meet the ground. she peers downward, to the wallet that is not here own, and allows her brow to furrow as she bends to take it, the other pedestrians already taking their leave. her gaze lifts, looking to them each, and it’s then that she finds the girl that has been standing near her, making hasty steps to catch up with the woman. “excuse me,” she calls out, though others turn to take a peek, “miss, you dropped this.”
