My family raised a clan of 15 outdoor cats. We fed them cat food on the porch, made sure there were warm places for them to sleep and took care of all the new kittens. Some of these kittens went to other homes, most of them were kept because there were six little kids pleading for them to stay.

They all lived happy lives.

Unfortunately, we lived in a state park that happened to have cougars, and cars traversing the area.

Three of them died by car or cougar and one caught rabies and had to be shot. We still have 11 cats wandering our property and being fed even though we moved.

Are you sure we are “Negligent” because that seems like a fucking great life to me. Humans feed you, you can go wherever, and all your kids are taken care of in a warm box in a shed.

And its been sixteen years since we got the original group too.
