                   𝘊𝘏𝘐𝘏𝘐𝘙𝘖 𝘞𝘖𝘜𝘓𝘋 𝘚𝘖𝘔𝘌𝘛𝘐𝘔𝘌𝘚 𝘋𝘖 𝘛𝘏𝘐𝘕𝘎𝘚                   that would catch amane completely off-guard. it was almost the end of the school day, and when amane finally saw her, his   big round eyes   lit up, ready to greet her. he rushes toward her while he fumbles for words to say about his day, and his cheeks turn a  peachy  red when he suddenly feels chihiro's head resting on his shoulder.           his body froze in place, and his heart started pounding. his hands were getting clammy, and he   completely   forgot what he wanted to say. at that moment, he didn't know what to do,   anxiously   thinking of ways to ask chihiro if she was alright when he eventually started to feel her crying on his shoulder.

“        e-eh?        c-chihiro?        what happened?        ”    why are you crying?    who hurt you?    it was the first thought that crossed his mind. it was   unusual   for amane to see her in such a vulnerable state that it took some time for him to grasp this whole situation. his shoulders finally loosen up, and he squeezes her into a hug, gently rubbing her back when he realizes that chihiro had an awful day. “         was it that awful?        ”   he asks to fill up the empty silence, and with the tip of his fingers, he starts tracing soothing circles around her back. admittedly, amane was never the one to be good at cheering people up. he only knew how to be there for them. he knows how hard it is to be on the other end, especially when she's walloping in tears. words can sometimes not be the best weapon a person can have while crying, so amane tries his best to make her feel better. “         don't feel sad.        it's okay.        i'm here.        ”   he hugs her tighter and squeezes his eyes shut like a bunny. amane starts rubbing his cheek against her own like he did whenever he tried to cheer tsukasa up when they were younger. and when chihiro slowly started to feel better, amane was the first to let go of her and cupped her face with both of his hands, brushing away the tears that dried down on her cheeks,    “    there, all better.    ”   he smiled encouragingly at her,    “    let's go home. i can give you a piggyback ride if you want to !    ”
