What Is SETI?

My Name is Venk Porterfield. I am not a scientist. This space is dedicated to helping people understand the search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence. In my experience, most of the information on this subject is presented in a very technical way. The sites tend to be hard to read, and are presented in such a boring way that the average person won't take the time to try and gain a better understanding of the subject. I always thought that if the work was presented in a more entertaining way, then more people would become fans of the SETI program. Just like I am. So, I created this site to try and translate some of the technical explanations into layman's terms we all can understand. I also include some interesting UFO sightings and close encounters. I believe that any search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence has to include the possibility that we have already been visited.
